#InWithTheBins is a campaign created by Quinn Brown to encourage organizations, companies, universities etc to install sanitary bins in men's cubicles.
It's time for me to leave Twitter.
I'm on Blue Sky, WhatsApp and Facebook but the threat from Musk to make us pay for Twitter is more than enough to make me leave.
And the incessant transphobia has changed everything for me on here too.
In With The Bins is a campaign that is pushing for sanitary bins to be implemented in men's toilets. It is time that bins were installed because there is no reason for them not to be there.
We need to use them if they have a stoma for example, they need to change colostomy bags.
Simple changes can make a massive difference to people's lives. For many trans people the experience of using public toilets is way harder than it needs to be. Check out and follow @InWithTheBins11 for one way to help.
A perfect time to remind everyone that having sanitary bins in men's toilets would be ideal for not just cis men but trans men and non-binary people too.
A reason being that as a trans man, I have started my period and sanitary bins need to be in men's toilets.
@SJSlack22@QuinnBrown112 It's baffling isn't it? Considering men have stomas, they have incontinence problems etc, it just makes so much sense to have them in all toilets rather than just disabled and ladies.
Happy birthday to the NHS!
In With The Bins is extremely grateful for the help it has received in getting going with implementing bins into men's toilets. The staff at Rotherham and other branches within the NHS who have conversed with myself about the campaign, thank you! 💙
I've got plans this week to kick on with promoting the campaign and I am determined to see sanitary bins being installed in men's toilets because men do have a need for them, certain medical conditions force that need.
My mental health along with fibromyalgia has prevented me from focusing on In With The Bins properly but I'm now in a place where I can get back to getting the wheels moving once more to get the campaign pushed.
