🚨Alf-Inge Haaland on Norway’s elimination from the FIFA World Cup by England:
🗣️ Reporter: “Alf-Inge, what’s your reaction after Norway’s 2–1 extra-time defeat to England?”
🗣️ Alf-Inge Haaland:
“Today, the referee won. That’s how I feel. I don’t usually like talking about officials after a match, but when so many key moments go against one team, it’s impossible to ignore.
We saw Torbjørn Heggem’s goal disallowed, we saw controversial decisions throughout the game, and every big call seemed to go England’s way. At this level, those moments change matches.
I’m incredibly proud of Norway because they never stopped fighting. They played with courage, discipline and belief against one of the strongest teams in the tournament. They didn’t come here to defend for 120 minutes—they came here to compete, and they did exactly that.
England are a very good side, and I congratulate them on qualifying. But I can’t help feeling that football should have been the main story tonight, not the officiating.
The players gave everything for their country. They represented Norway with pride, and no one can question their commitment. When the emotions settle, I hope people remember the performance more than the result.
Sometimes you’re beaten by a better team. Tonight, I leave feeling that the biggest influence on the match wasn’t just the football. That’s the most disappointing part for everyone connected with Norway.”
Jannik Sinner should really still be banned from playing Tennis after he failed 2 drug tests, the fact that he only got a 3 month ban in between slams for me is the biggest scandal to have ever hit the sport and one that we won't ever forget.
When Roger Federer past Pete Sampras 14 Grand slam record, the BBC led with the headline;
"Roger Federer becomes the greatest player in Grand Slam history".
There was no mentions that a number of women had more than 15 grand slams.
Make of that what you will.

Norway fans do their Viking Row.
Absolutely glorious. 🇳🇴
One of the best things about the World Cup is how the fans are celebrating their own national identity and culture while paying no attention to those who sneer at it.
The ATP have just promoted a documentary on the world male number 1s. The player who's been the Number 1 for the longest period ever, Novak Djokovic is nowhere to be seen on the trailer, make of that what you will.
