The Lake Wales Museum Assn., a 501-C3 non-profit organization created to restore and develop our museum, is now Lake Wales Heritage, inc. @HeritageLW

[LWMA.org @IncLwma]

Our new mission on behalf of Lake Wales is

the restoration and completion of the Olmsted Landscape Plan

that connected the city with Bok Tower Gardens.

That’s why the LWMA is now

Lake Wales Heritage, Inc.

We decided to come back to Twitter long enough to say goodbye. We can’t support a tainted service. #TruthOverLies
See you elsewhere in the cyberspace.

@CityofLakeWales What the deputy mayor forgets is what happens if someone entertains. Christmas, birthday, etc.? An alley won’t hold guest cars, or a moving van, either. That’s why on-street parking was/is critical.

@Floribrew Wow, sign me up. I wonder which United State is paying for this?

Saw a sign on a car today honoring a person who died age 14. I have lived four of his lifetimes. Most as an adult. What have I accomplished with the years? Am I driven? Perhaps, but there’s much to be done to leave a better world when it seems to be going in the wrong direction..

Happy #NationalDayoftheCowboy! Did you know the first American cowboys weren't found out west, but right here on the Central Florida frontier? True story. A handful were immortalized in 1895 in the work of famous artist Frederic Remington. #DYK #FloridaHistory

@Pgeils76 @LW_Museum Townsend Lumber dates back to the early days of the city, so it’s very likely that they did mill locally-sourced wood. It would take some research to prove it.

@HeritageLW Lake Wales Heritage is to be congratulated for their hard work and significant expense that made the Arbor Day event a success, and for sharing the credit with three other not-for-profit organizations. That’s not to mention the tree they donated to the Woman’s Club.
