@strauberrywine Are seeing it & feeling attacked. But it isn't about people with diagnosed or suspected chronic illness it's about people who are adamant that it's normal to just be in some kind of pain all the time. And by normal i mean absence of some sort of illness of aggravating factor
@strauberrywine Yeah i think the disconnect is that there have been people saying it's fully normal for a healthy person to experience constant headaches or pains & it's like no that's not normal (as in: that is potentially chronic illness). And then people with chronic illness (1/2)
@cecyliastalina My favourite part of this has been them saying "you guys just like to suffer" like no we just are not constantly suffering why do you think this is normal 😭
hate the way people on the internet have over used and made meaningless phrases like ‘abuse’ ‘trauma’ narcissism’ ‘bullying’ which as supposed to be used for *actual* *serious* examples of these things and apply it to anything/anyone they dislike
American people in a workplace are the most bonkers lovely people you'll ever meet in your life and then you come on twitter and they are all Dennis Reynolds
If you feel shitty enough to reach for paracetamol or ibuprofen multiple times a month / every single month that is not actually normal & you should get checked out by a medical professional and that's the end of it tbh
Pumpkin picking is a middle class kind of nonsense. I will not be suckered into paying £30 to pick up the same pumpkins you get in asda for £1 that someone has just sat on the ground next to other pumpkins
@hfkzelda@smokeythewhite There were people acting like it's normal for the human body to experience some kind of pain needing medication on a routine basis. But there's also a cultural difference where we don't typically take them for mild to moderate discomfort as well
@KevinCle24@BendyJenga I knew it was bad but is it genuinely thousands for routine blood tests bad? Not being facetious i just can't tell if it's hyperbole or literal
If I ran a supermarket, every Halloween I would empty an aisle and fill it with pumpkins & twee decorations & call it pumpkin picking & it would either be absolutely genius or cause weeks of chaos

"What if I'm chronically ill!!!"
Yeah my point literally is you probably are & should not just self medicate & hope for the best. Even if you end up getting prescribed the same painkillers in the end you've ruled out something being very wrong or discovered something wrong
Online Americans ™️ wilfully misinterpreting "that's the end of it" as "that's the end of needing medical care" instead of "that's the end of the discourse" so they can vent their constant seething rage at randoms ahahahahahahaha no way ok
