@mikafangzz@daveed_1931 Why do you think the lower class would of benefited that much from colonisation? Anyways, i bet you that the food you mentioned here gets mocked too. Taste is subjective, you cant say food is bad or good for definite because that will always be your opinion.
@oncebitcore And i have no doubt that soul food is mocked by people too. (Not saying i agree with it btw obviously, i dont believe in that)
Taste is subjective. Also there are different situations and ages to be where maybe it isnt like that. Like a young kid for example.
@melxnhead@BigBittyCaptain@iggie404 Im not usually one to back down however you have been very kind throughout this and im not used to people actually being kind online, never change dude seriously i know it was my bad for being an asshole earlier, i seriously was being one and im sorry
@melxnhead@BigBittyCaptain@iggie404 Fair game, i dont have my glasses on so fair of me to miss that. Appreciate you pointing it out though. Doesnt make it any different anyways, i admit to being classist. If i can admit it then you should too instead of trying to justify it.
@NYSALVI1@knuckelvelvet@minioncocaine Lets be honest, some of that food gets mocked too. And whos to say stuff like beans on toast doesnt taste good? Its objective after all.
@minioncocaine i don’t think pointing out classism is a victim complex i think making fun of foods born from people being unable to feed their families coming from someone “on the left” is quite strange tho
a lot of americans have suddenly discovered the ability to taste food through a screen because i guarantee half of yous calling beans on toast disgusting have never actually eaten it
@AdamantxYves@blackmagnet0 OP's point is that British food isn't gross people just hate it because the only food they see is poverty or struggle meals like beans on toast. Nobody would ever dare to complain about beef Wellington, truffles, or Devon crab.
