So from what I understand, people/streamers etc. found a way to play NBA 2K17 on PC again, and instead of just letting the community enjoy an old game we all loved, 2K apparently stepped in — shutting things down and even going after posts/videos about it on YouTube and social media…

If that’s really what happened, it’s honestly embarrassing. People are simply trying to enjoy a game they played like 10 years ago and have some fun with something they’re nostalgic about. Is it really necessary to interfere with even that?

I can’t help but wonder what the real reason behind this is. Is it simply because people playing NBA 2K17 aren’t buying VC and generating revenue for 2K?

At some point, you have to ask yourselves who this is actually hurting.
