APPLICATION : In the face of the weakness of our flesh, sometimes disbelief and discouragement knock at the door of our minds. Do not allow these mental dispositions to lead us away from the Living God. For this is the basis of the resurrection: " It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:" (1 Corinthians 15:43).

PRAYER: Give us grace and strength, Lord, as you gave to Paul, whose witness encourages us to remain steadfast.

Prayer:

Lord, I come before You recognizing my need to fully surrender the control of my life to You. Forgive me sometimes when I let the ego govern my decisions and attitudes. Teach me to deny myself, to take my cross and to follow You with humility and faith. May I die for sin and live for You, allowing Your Holy Spirit to transform me day after day. It helps me find true life in Christ, even if it means losing what I think is important. May I live for Your glory, Lord. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Father, in the midst of my pain and mourning, I thank You for Your consolation.

Strengthen me so that I can praise You in all circumstances.
