Hey, @LGMicahBeckwith, we keep receipts. Get your head out of your rear & talk *with* the CITIZENS OF INDIANA, not *at* them. The last thing we need is to import a foreign town & assume they'll assimilate to Hoosier life. They need to take control of their own government at home.

"We jumped in our car and headed south when I noticed the tornado and saw it was just north of us. Praying everyone is okay"
First Tornado WARNING for central Indiana has been issued for portions of Fountain, Vermillion and Warren Counties until 9:15 PM. A destructive line of thunderstorms are moving east at 70 MPH. Spots like Covington, Veedersburg, Attica are included. #INwx
There are 3 committee meetings on raising the wheel/excise tax.
The first one was Tuesday night at the Administration & Finance Committee.
Basically every single public comment was against the rise in wheel & excise tax
This comment was my favorite.

@Channel19S@maybedanielleee@FMCSA When these companies start lobbying and individuals even run for office, the BIG MEDIA BOYS around here rarely touch on it. It literally takes deaths for them to even consider it for a few days.
71 children from an Orthodox Jewish school have been rescued from underground tunnels connected to a sewer system in New York.
The children reportedly got lost during a trip after they began exploring what was down there.
Emergency crews responded and were able to safely locate and rescue all of the children without injury.
@Reuters@AmandaFBelfast What exactly did the media industrial complex think was going to happen? Maybe study history instead of trying to control the narrative?
Hard drives, SD cards and flash drives are through the roof. A hard drive that I bought at Best Buy on August 4, 2025 for $204.99 is $814.99 today. That's a 297.58% increase! Good luck to anyone wanting to build a decent gaming PC right now.
@realstewpeters I think you should acknowledge Roger Stone who revealed LBJ’s complicity in his book ‘The Man Who Killed Kennedy’ written 10+ years ago. Read more!
Related, I love when people who don't know you think you're "racist" because you're America First. If only they had a clue how wide the spectrum is of people I interact with and call friends. That's how you get perspective. I encourage everyone to learn something from others.
Religion has nothing to do with that answer.
And for the record, I've eaten bacon WITH a Jew AND a Muslim before. I questioned my Muslim friend about it and he quickly replied, "I'm a bad Muslim", and continued eating the bacon. It was good bacon. 🤣
True story.
I'm old enough to remember this being a common visual out of Ireland in the days before the Internet. The only thing that really surprises me is how long it took them to get to this point.
Belfast burning: Anti-immigration protests erupt after Sudanese migrant stabbing.
Thick smoke, raging fires, torched buses & vehicles as locals hit the streets over the latest knife attack.
When does enough become enough?
This is what happens when your government turns against you. Belfast, Ireland has had enough.

This is the migrant from Sudan who tried beheading a man in Ireland days after the mayor championed “diversity”
UK Lawmakers think if you’re upset about this then you’re a far-right extremist
Imagine not being able to speak/read English, then hauling freight for SBG DEFENSE LLC, a federal contractor that specializes in the production of Transparent Armor, which includes bullet-resistant glass designed for military, police, and commercial vehicles.
Very few are even asking the correct questions.
Not that you'll get an honest answer, but the "why" needs to be understood by all. Truth be told, we don't need them. "They" do. It's a digital prison system. And I'm a techie saying this. I've used data centers for decades. This isn't the same.
These numbers are absurd. It's the equivalent of a state purchasing enough ammo to supply an active army for centuries. And at the same time, it'll be obsolete by the time it goes online.
Which leads to the main focal point...Who's getting paid and by whom? Follow the money.
I’m skeptical of these large-scale data centers in Northwest Indiana. Taxpayer subsidies, massive energy demands, health concerns, and heavy strain on water resources pose real risks to our communities.
What are the actual tangible benefits for local Hoosiers? Incentives seem to favor corporations far more than taxpayers. Hoosiers deserve a voice. Let the free market and voters decide, not backroom deals.
If they're going to do this, why do they seem to not be running every single USDOT number that drives by?
Sometimes if I'm a passenger I'll look them up and you'd be shocked by how many are suspended and/or tied to shady carriers. It's out of control.
They told the public these cameras were for serious crime.
Now we keep seeing cases where officers are accused of using access to stalk people.
That is the problem with mass surveillance: once the database exists, abuse becomes a feature, not a surprise.

It'd be nice if people read this and truly comprehend the greater implications of the situation. But if most even make it through the whole thing, their eyes would glaze over. Others would assume it's a good thing because they trust the politicians they voted for.
INDIANA
The Executive Behind Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is Bringing Israel to the Midwest BY Tom Pigott
Indiana is courting Israeli investment through a multi million dollar deal with an Israeli venture capital fund and exclusive meetings with Netanyahu's cabinet, is your state next?
This week, the governor of Indiana, Mike Braun, announced a partnership with an Israeli venture capital group run by Chemi Peres, the son of former Israeli Prime Minister and architect of Israel and Apartheid South Africa’s nuclear programs, Shimon Peres.
The venture capital group, Iron Nation Fund, is an overtly political project on the part of prominent Israeli investors. The firm’s own website describes its mission is “to protect and sustain Israeli innovation in the wake of the October 7th”. The group seeks to do so by attracting Israeli tech companies to the United States, more specifically Indiana, as they have received a partnership that promises them $15 million in investments from Indiana’s Economic Development Corporation.
How is it that such a generous deal was cut, and what does this tell us about Indiana’s relationship to Israel and its largest industries?
A prominent Evangelical Christian, Johnnie Moore, was central in the formation of this partnership. Moore was not only the executive chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (accused of being “slaughter masquerading as aid”) but also CEO of the public relations firm JDA Worldwide. Following a trip to Israel, Moore made connections between Iron Nation and JDA Worldwide’s parent company, the Indianapolis-based PR firm Prolific.
Prolific was one of the main movers in attracting Iron Nation to Indiana, and through them Iron Nation investors were able to travel to Indiana to meet with key groups such as the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP).
Both groups have numerous ties with shady entities.
For example, both were central in the incubation and funding of Indiana’s Applied Research Institute.
Iron Nation choosing Indiana rather than more conventional tech hubs such as San Francisco or New York City may seem unusual. However, Indiana has attracted Israeli interests for longer than it appears at first glance.
Multiple Israeli companies have very large investments based in the state. Most recently, Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems corporation, which produces the Iron Dome air defense system, has started a joint venture with California’s Kratos Defense to manufacture rocket motors in Indiana. Rafael is quite literally as old as Israel, and is one of the country’s largest and most important defense companies. Now they are receiving up to $10 million from the IEDC under Governor Mike Braun to build a facility in Westgate@Crane, a technology park near Southern Indiana’s NWSC Crane, which is the world’s third largest naval base. The project is also $75 million in federal funding from the Department of Defense. Braun even attended the ground breaking ceremony.
Before Braun, Governor Eric Holcomb was incentivizing the Israeli renewable energy company Doral to build a massive solar farm in Northern Indiana. The IEDC promised up to $1.5 million in support for the project, alongside a $500 million investment from Leon Black’s Apollo Global Management. Holcomb even sits on the board of Doral Renewables, notably alongside the former head of the Mossad, Yossi Cohen. Meanwhile former Indiana Governor Evan Bayh sits on the board of Apollo Global Management.
Indiana’s government organ investing in Iron Nation, the IEDC, even formerly had an office based in Israel. While the current IEDC website is scrubbed of any mention of this, Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine reveals that until about July 2025 contact info for Elad Schnarch, director of the Israeli office, was prominently displayed.
Furthermore, except the current governor Mike Braun, every governor since 2005 has visited Israel, with Mike Pence and Eric Holcomb going multiple times. Pence, Holcomb, Senator Joe Donnely, and Mitch Daniels all also met with Benjamin Netayahu during their trips. Pence during one trip refused to attend the Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas’ Christmas dinner.
For years Indiana’s heads of state have courted the Israeli government and its industries. Some governors have done this directly, such as through Braun’s monetary support of Rafael, which is a state-owned industry. This is money flowing directly out of Indiana into Israel.
At times, the mechanism for this have been even more crude. The current state treasurer, Daniel Elliott, has continued to purchase Israeli bonds, to the extent that the state of Indiana now holds $110 million in direct investment to the state of Israel. He has also met with Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to present him with gifts. Elliott had no issue meeting with him despite Smotrich previously remarking, “…no one in the world would let us starve and thirst two million citizens, even though it may be just and moral…”.
Politically and economically, the United States and Israel have long seemed to operate in complete lock step with one another. However, Indiana is now proving to be a testing ground for the potential depth of this relationship. Beyond high level senators or presidents visiting the country, now state officials and even mayors are travelling to Israel.
Indiana marks a new degree of complete integration between the two states. Indiana officials travel to Israel as if it were Ohio or Illinois. Joint economic initiatives are launched with neighbors, although now, instead of geographic neighbors, they are instead ideological. The ongoing evolution of this relationship will not only determine Indiana’s future, but perhaps will serve as a model for other states too.

@Ben_Inskeep We're on the same page. The point is, the global issues always end up in your backyard. The macro view is beyond the Indiana government, and many of those in charge are puppets of something bigger. Fight the fight locally, but realize that there are outside influences.
The federal government is handing out $27 million in subsidies to an Indiana coal plant. 🏭
The kicker? It's the coal plant that is going to be used to power Google & Amazon data centers.
Big Tech gets subsidies for its energy💰. You pay higher bills for yours.📈
