Pantesan orang kita itu gampang bgt burnout kerja, ketakutan di-phk/layoff, berempati /memanusiakan pekerja aja sulit bgt. Plus dibumbuin patriarki seakan2 perempuan harus bertanggung jawab kalo ada anggota keluarga yg sakit, lelaki tidak boleh stay menjadi carer.
Kmaren aku ngetwit kalo aku kerja di Indo pasti aku udah disuruh resign, karena aku kerja fulltime tapi sambil dialysis, hampir seminggu sekali pasti ada appointment dokter.
Dari awal masuk kerja udah bilang ke management, tau gak jawabannya apa, "don't worry, life happens, we'll make it work"
Di kantorku, bahkan se-sepele harus jemput anak di daycare gara2 jadwalnya gak sinkron sama suami, ya gak apa-apa, besok tinggal made up the time.
Ada yang keliatan lemes dikit disuruh log-off komputer, kalo lg di kantor disuruh pulang.
Ada HAK PEKERJA yg bisa dipakai: cuti tahunan, cuti merawat keluarga, cuti berkabung, cuti sakit.
Tinggal dipilih yg mana yang sesuai kebutuhan. bahkan ulang tahun aja dipaksa cuti, gak usah masuk kalo gak mau.
Masalahnya, memang di kalangan masyarakat kita, masih banyak yg merasa mengambil cuti itu seakan2 egois atu "seenaknya". Aneh.
Itu Chef Juna asumsi semua staf dia punya istri di rumah.
Bagaimana single parent?
Bagaimana yang istrinya juga kerja?
Bagaimana yang anaknya sakit parah dan butuh dua orang tua?
Satu kalimat itu sudah cukup buktikan dia tidak kenal kondisi nyata staf dia sendiri.
Itu bukan standar tinggi , itu standar yang dibangun di atas asumsi privilege.🙂
Dia Memastikan stafnya merasakan neraka saat masuk kerja lagi.
Dia sendiri yang bilang ini dengan bangga.
Di industri manapun itu namanya hostile work environment, bukan standar profesional.
Gordon Ramsay teriak2 di TV tapi di dapur nyatanya dia bangun tim yang loyal bertahun2.
Dia bangga bikin staf dia trauma , itu bukan kepemimpinan, itu insecurity yang dikasih jabatan.🙂
Standar tinggi itu valid jangan salah, tapi standar tinggi tidak butuh trauma sebagai alat.
Militer paling elite di dunia pun sekarang sudah tinggalkan model 'bikin orang menderita biar kuat' karena terbukti kontraproduktif , turnover tinggi, mental health buruk, performa jangka panjang turun.
Dapur bintang Michelin terbaik dunia sekarang justru bangun psychological safety.

2003 – Schumacher rewrites the history books
#OnThisDay 12 October, at the 2003 Japanese Grand Prix, the remarkable Michael Schumacher wrote his name in the record books by securing his sixth Drivers’ title – and his fourth of five in a row, beating the record set by Juan Manuel Fangio in 1957. He finished eighth, but as Ferrari team-mate Rubens Barrichello took the chequered flag to deny his nearest rival Kimi Raikkonen, he took the championship. It was a fair result as Schumacher had six wins to Raikkonen’s one, even if his race was not one of his best, with a couple of scares along the way. It was also enough for Ferrari to seal the 2003 Constructors’ Championship.
This race was the final one in which cars used launch control and fully automatic gearboxes, both of which were reintroduced at the 2001 Spanish Grand Prix. The FIA banned these electronic driver-aids in the 2004 season. It was also the last Grand Prix appearance for Heinz-Harald Frentzen, a three-time race winner, and Jos Verstappen, the father of future multiple world champion Max Verstappen.
