Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit has been appointed as the next Vice Chief of the Air Staff and will assume his new charge on July 1.
He has more than 3,300 hours of flying experience.
Air Marshal S. Shrinivas, AOC-in-C Training Command, visited IISc Bangalore and interacted with faculty members, researchers, and startup representatives to strengthen defence-academia, collaboration and promote an indigenous defence startup ecosystem.
The Air Marshal was accompanied by the Commandant of Training and Technical Operations (CTTO), HQ Training Command, along with officers from the Air Force Technical College and the Regional Aerospace Innovation Division.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of ongoing defence projects, explored new avenues for collaboration, and held discussions with the Director of IISc Bangalore and the Director of the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development.
Indian Naval Ship Airavat departed Colombo after completing a three-day operational visit.
During its stay, the ship delivered critical main engine spares for the Sri Lanka Coast Guard vessel Suraksha, along with essential supplies for the Sri Lanka Navy.
Airavat also recovered and embarked debris from ISRO's successful GSLV Mk III launch vehicle, parts of which washed ashore along Sri Lanka's eastern coast.
IAF Chief Air Marshal A.P. Singh has completed his Three day visit to France.
During the trip, he held talks with senior French military officials, visited key operational facilities, took a familiarisation flight on the A400M transport aircraft, and met representatives from defence companies Dassault, Thales, Safran, and MBDA.

DRDO and IAF have carried out successful flight-tests of RudraM-II Air-to-Surface Missile from Su-30MKI Fighter Jet.
The tests were conducted under extreme conditions with critical trajectory, validating the capabilities of all subsystems. The missiles after release was guided to a predefined target with pin-point accuracy.
