Ambassador met the President of Korea University, Mr. Kim Dong-one.

They discussed possibilities to further strengthen educational cooperation between Korea University and Indian universities.

Ambassador also visited the Crimson Entrepreneurship Support Centre, including startup facilities X-Garage and Business Incubation Centre, at the university.

대사는 김동원 고려대학교 총장을 면담하였습니다.

양측은 고려대학교와 인도 대학 간 교육 협력을 더욱 강화할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였습니다.

또한 대사는 고려대학교 내 크림슨 창업지원센터를 방문하여 스타트업 지원 시설인 X-Garage와 비즈니스 인큐베이션 센터를 둘러보았습니다.

In his article in @EconomicTimes, Executive Director of International Energy Agency, Mr. Fatih Birol @fbirol, highlights India’s remarkable energy journey over the past decade. Mr. Birol notes that as PM @narendramodi marks 25 years in executive office, India’s energy transformation over the past decade reflects thoughtful planning, diversification and resilience, offering valuable lessons for the world. Salient points include :

💠 Electricity access extended to over 300 million people since 2015
💠 Over 500 million Indians gained access to modern cooking gas
💠 160 GW of solar capacity installed in a decade
💠 Renewable power capacity quadrupled, with India reaching 50% non-fossil power capacity five years ahead of schedule
💠 Biofuel production has increased more than fivefold since 2020
💠 India is pursuing 10x growth in nuclear power capacity by 2047

The Embassy joined the Rajasthan Festival at Nami Island on October 3-4, 2026, where visitors enjoyed vibrant music, dance, art and handicrafts of Rajasthan.

The festival offered a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich culture and traditions of Rajasthan in Korea.

남이섬에서 만나는 라자스탄

주한인도대사관은 2026년 10월 3일부터 4일까지 남이섬에서 열린 라자스탄 페스티벌에 참여했습니다. 방문객들은 라자스탄의 다채로운 음악과 춤, 예술, 전통 수공예를 즐기며 특별한 시간을 보냈습니다.

이번 축제는 한국에서 라자스탄의 풍부한 문화와 전통을 가까이에서 만나고 체험할 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회가 되었습니다.

As part of SevaPakhwada, the Embassy organised the “Know Your Embassy” initiative for members of the Indian community, with a special focus on school and college students. The initiative sought to strengthen the connection between the Embassy and the community by offering participants a first hand understanding of the Mission’s functioning, responsibilities and services.

The programme also featured a special talk on Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy by internationally acclaimed Gandhian speaker Dr Shobhana Radhakrishna. Her reflections on Gandhian values and service to society complemented the central spirit of Seva Pakhwada.

Through greater openness, awareness and direct engagement, the initiative translated the spirit of Seva Pakhwada into meaningful community outreach and further strengthened the Embassy’s links with the Indian community in the Republic of Korea.

우리 대사관은 2주간의 봉사활동 기간인 ‘세바파크와다(SevaPakhwada)’의 일환으로 대학생, 학생 등 재한 인도인을 대상으로 ‘대사관 알아보기(Know Your Embassy)’ 프로그램을 개최하였습니다. 대사관과 교민사회의 관계를 강화하고, 공관의 기능과 역할, 서비스에 관한 설명을 직접 제공하는 것이 프로그램의 취지입니다.

세계적으로 유명한 간디 학자인 쇼바나 라다크리슈나 박사의 특별 연설을 듣는 자리도 마련되었습니다. 라다크리슈나 박사는 마하트마 간디가 사회에 전한 가치와 봉사 정신을 이야기하며 ‘세바파크와다’의 메시지를 강조했습니다.

열린 마음과 이해의 정신으로 직접 교류하는 기회를 제공한 이번 프로그램은 ‘세바파크와다’의 핵심인 공동체 정신을 강화하고, 대사관과 교민 사회의 연계를 강화하는 계기가 되었습니다.
