My Italian great-grandma lost her grip on her older brother's hand at Ellis Island, and they literally never saw each other again. Lost in the crowd, gone. No phone numbers, didnt speak much English, poor records. Stuff like that just...happened.
@DheerajD111 The screen is so massive that you are only focused on the actor in this scene and his expressions. The 3-D like effect is because you are watching this condensed on a small screen. On the actual IMAX screen, it still feels organic.
@_gbalaji@PrasadCorp@Barco Where exactly will be this in HDR in the US? Only locations with Barco HDR capabilities where Coolie is scheduled is Regal Dania Pointe & Regal Edwards Boise, but both of these have showings of Freakier Friday in the RPX auditorium.
@_gbalaji@ikamalhaasan Such a sad state! When boutique labels are restoring movies that even came 100 years ago in 4K, most of our films are in this condition.
@iamshreytyagi This disconnect is highly unusual, Bollywood has maintained its copies for older movies in a much better condition with decent restorations compared to south. And yet it's the opposite with Bollywood stuck at 2K while even small South movies constantly do 4K & even atmos.
@aavishhkar Before release, Aamir Khan talked big about not giving Laal Singh Chadda to OTT for 6 months and how producers should follow suit for the good of cinema at the cost of losing money. But when his own movie failed, the movie came to Netflix after 2 months. Let's wait and see.
@iamshreytyagi@shividungarpur But why is this print being used? Even if getting the 35mm positive from @BFI has logistical and copyright issues, there are other prints including which look much better in term of color. https://t.co/loXOPFBoBg
@iamshreytyagi Women watch movies much less regularly in the theater compared to guys. And people who care about technicalities are a minority of a minority of a minority from this group. If there isn't an equal distribution to start with, it just compounds further.
@iamshreytyagi This is a great start, songs in Indian films have always been larger than life and would do very well with the expansion. But which 1.43 location will play this? 1.90 is great start, hopefully they give flat content for PLFs.
@ParthChturvedi @DisneyStudios Decoy pricing, they want you to fork up the extra cash to "buy" the movie for what seems like a better deal, but to them it essentially costs the same. Most people only watch it once, and they can yank it from the digital store whenever they want since you only own a license.
