What a great day at our Indiana Family of Farmer's Farm to Capitol event!

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated Indiana agriculture and connected with the organizations that make up our Indiana Family of Farmers. The event featured many booths along Senate Avenue and gave visitors the chance to stop by each booth and see the impact of Indiana agriculture firsthand.

Thank you to @GovBraun for visiting with us and even mentioning how excited he is to have @WorldFoodChamp back in Indianapolis this fall and how he enjoyed the pork dish he had at our booth at the 2025 event!

It was a great day to educate a lot of people about Indiana pig farming!

The clock is ticking toward the month of May and enrollment opening for the Farmers for Soil Health program. This program is created BY farmers FOR farmers and is committed to enhancing soil health practices, like planting cover crops, to improve the environment and profitability of farmers.

Enrollment starts May 1, and you need to enroll to be part of this program that offers a wealth of benefits, comprehensive support, and financial incentives designed to enhance sustainability and profitability.

Last week Indiana Pork's Chad Martin joined Governor Braun as he signed the HEA 1098, legislations that strives to give students more opportunities for real-world work experience.

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine recently recognized Dr. Rob Jackman (PU DVM ‘95) as a 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. The event celebrated alumni whose careers exemplify excellence, leadership, and service across the veterinary profession

The veterinary career of Dr. Rob Jackman reflects a strong commitment to rural veterinary practice and community engagement. He earned both his BS degree in agriculture and his DVM degree at Purdue. Dr. Jackman operates the Jackman Animal Clinic – a mixed animal practice in Milroy, Indiana. Congratulations Dr. Jackman and thank you for your leadership to other future swine vets!
