➡️ Inaugurating the first Yoga Camp for the #Bloodline, the largest volunteer driven blood donation program in East Asia, CG emphasized the importance of promoting #Yoga and #AYUSH related Indian Wellness traditions 🩸

➡️ Delivering the opening remarks at the Inauguration of the Annual East China 🇮🇳 community Badminton Competition 🏸 , Consul General thanked our community members for helping spread the message of #Yoga awareness and understanding across the region, which has emerged as a major center for #Yoga practice in the region.

➡️ Thanking the students and volunteers for ensuring that nearly five hundred attendees participated across the two major events, CG said that Yoga today was a common #culturalheritageofhumanity bringing us all together to serve the purpose of #GoodHealthandWellBeing.

➡️ In his welcome remarks, Consul General emphasized the recent successes of the 🇮🇳 economy including the #NordicSummit, India-EU, India-New Zealand and India-UK FTAs and noted that in the era of building resilient global supply chains, we remained dedicated to promoting dialogue and collaboration across Indian businesses, global chambers of commerce, and local Chinese institutions - fostering cross-industry connections, enabling knowledge sharing, and bridging global businesses with India.🌅

Launched Shri Prashant Agrawal's book 'Bringing the Cheetah Back to India' which highlights the diplomatic efforts that made it possible to reintroduce cheetahs after seven decades of their extinction from India.

This book offers a very important read for those interested in green diplomacy and all those who love and care for the wildlife.

Since Project Cheetah has just begun, this book will also serve as guiding light for those who carry forward the gains made so far at the diplomatic level. I wish Prashant ji the very best for the book's success.

➡️ CG @PratikMathur1 was happy to felicitate organizers of the #Yoga and Pilates Summit of China in Shanghai. The Summit was previously held in Beijing in 2024.

➡️ The Consul General noted the historic scale of the grand event in the lead up to #IDY2026 bringing together thousands of Yoga practitioners and students from across the world in #Shanghai from June 16–19 for the very first time.

➡️ In his engagements at the #Yoga Summit, CG underlined that the historic scale of celebrations and the unprecedented scope of events, covering the expanse of #AYUSH concept of Ayurveda, traditional 🇮🇳 concepts of mindfulness and healthy living once again underlined the truly global impact of Indian culture especially #InternationalDayofYoga celebrations as we get ready to celebrate the twelfth edition in 35 days across the globe.

➡️ CG also appreciated the #IDY2026 enthusiasm in Shanghai, the commercial hub of the region, which also hosts one of the largest cohorts of yoga studios anywhere in the world, underscoring the truly 🌎 impact of our soft power 🧘

Telling the story of New India through our soft power 🇮🇳 🌎 🌉

🎶✨ Renowned sitar maestro Ustad Shujaat Khan captivated a packed audience in Shanghai with a mesmerizing live performance at the Chaiti Art Festival. 🇮🇳

The event drew over 1,000 enthusiastic participants, including over 15 Consul Generals of friendly countries, filling the venue with warmth and deep appreciation for India's rich classical traditions. It provided a wonderful opportunity to encourage young Indian and Chinese artists while strengthening people-to-people ties through cultural exchange.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General @PratikMathur1 underlined the civilizational strong cultural bonds between India and the region, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening people to people ties, including through the #universallanguage of arts and music, where 🇮🇳 artists and musicians are capturing global acclaim and appreciation 🎶🌅🌎”

The Grammy-nominated maestro from the illustrious Imdad Khan Gharana held the audience spell bound with his deeply expressive sitar playing, soulful vocals, and spontaneous mastery over raag and melody.

He was accompanied on tabla by the brilliant Amit Dutt Chaubey and Arkodeep Das, whose energetic rhythms beautifully complemented the evening.

Sports for friendship #FIFA

High Commissioner hosted the Indian Women National Football Team at India House. The team is in Kenya for the 4-nation @FIFAcom Women’s Series. The evening brought together players and members of Indian diaspora, celebrating the growing momentum of women’s football and the strong people-to-people ties between 🇮🇳 and 🇰🇪.

A special highlight was the presence of ten young aspiring women footballers from the Indian diaspora, who had the unique opportunity to interact and play with the national team. The energy and excitement on display reflected the power of sport in inspiring the next generation, while prominent members of the diaspora joined in extending their support and encouragement to the team.

As the Indian team prepares to take on the Malawi Women’s National Football Team this Wednesday, the entire Indian community in Kenya stands behind them - cheering them on every step of the way. 🇮🇳⚽
