🇮🇳 In March 2026, the Central Government cut excise duty by ₹10/litre on both petrol and diesel amid the global oil shock.

⛽ #Petrol : ₹13 → ₹3/litre
🚛 #Diesel : ₹10 → ₹0/litre

📉 That's a ₹10/litre reduction in the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on both fuels

People in #X who are shouting on capital gains tax cut they should also remember this.govt has increased subsidies for #fertilizers , #fuels . They have did income tax cut, #GST cut, zero Tax on G-Sec bonds for FII'S. Despite gov is facing this much pressure they are aiming for lower Fiscial deficit for this financial year as they informed.

I accept capital gains tax has to be cut atleast for FII'S because they are getting negative returns due to currency problem.

Hope for the best. They will do it in this budget.
