The apple didn't fall on Newton's head; it fell on a history book that forgot to credit ancient India.
Long before the 1600s, the Rig Veda described how the sun holds the earth in space using specific forces. Our ancestors already knew.

Can you guess this Shakti temple? 🔥
🔸 Where the Goddess appears primarily as a sacred head.
🔸 Where the prasadam is not Kumkum, but sacred soil (Mann Prasadam).
🔸 Where the sacred symbolism is the Cow rather than the Lion.
🔸 Where the story of Renuka Devi and Parasurama is woven into the very fabric of the land.
The answer is the ancient Renugambal Temple at Padavedu, nestled at the foothills of the Jawadhu Hills in Tamil Nadu.
One of the most fascinating aspects of this temple is its unique prasadam. Instead of the customary Kumkum, devotees receive sacred soil associated with the yajna bhoomi of Sage Jamadagni.
Padavedu is not just a temple. It was once the capital of the Sambuvarayars and remains a vast sacred landscape dotted with ancient shrines, legends, and history.
Beyond the Renugambal shrine, the region is home to several ancient temples, making it a remarkable spiritual destination.
Many devotees visit seeking the blessings of Mother Renugambal for family welfare, marriage, and protection.
The more I learn about temples like Padavedu, the more I realize how much of our heritage is still hidden in plain sight.
Have you visited Padavedu?

Congratulations @OilIndiaLimited !
An ocean of energy opportunities reinforced in the Andaman Sea!
Very happy to report the presence of natural gas in Sri Vijayapuram-3 an exploratory well drilled by Oil India Ltd. 15 km off the east coast of the Andaman Islands at a water depth of 355 meters.
Initial production testing of the well at the depth of 1900 plus meters in the Eocene formation has established the presence of natural gas through continuous flaring.
Oil India is carrying out gas sampling to assess the composition & calorific value of gas and to carry out isotope studies to understand the genesis of the gas.
Under the Samudra Manthan Mission (National Deep Water Exploration Mission) announced by Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji on Independence Day 2025, large number of deepwater & Ultra deepwater exploration wells are planned in our offshore basins to fully exploit our hydrocarbon reserves.
Presence of hydrocarbon is now reported in 2(Two) wells out of 3 (Three) exploratory wells drilled by OIL in current exploratory campaign off Andaman Basin.
This presence of natural gas will help us in taking forward our exploration ambitions in coordination with global deepwater exploration experts like @petrobras, @TotalEnergies, @bp_india, @Shell, @exxonmobil and will be a significant milestone in our journey through Amrit Kaal!

Why would someone die for a tree?
On #WorldEnvironmentDay, watch Anu Lall reveal how the Bishnoi community protected forests and wildlife for 550+ years through Dharma, Guru Jambhoji’s 29 niyamas, and sacred conservation.

We call them the Pancha Bhootas. 😇
Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Space.
Our ancestors did not revere the elements out of superstition.
They revered them because they understood that all life depends on them. 😇🙏
When we pollute a river, poison the air, or degrade the soil, we are not harming something outside ourselves.
We are diminishing the very elements from which we are made.
Perhaps environmental responsibility begins with this realization.

Hara Hara Mahadeva 🔱
A cockroach is just a cockroach.
But sometimes, artificial cockroaches are manufactured by giant creatures and that's when the real chaos begins. 🪳
The smallest nuisance can create the biggest drama when it's amplified and sustained.
Meet the hilarious cockroach.
This #WorldEnvironment Day, let us remember that every choice we make has an impact on nature, on the climate, and on each other.
🌿 Refuse single-use plastics and avoid unnecessary plastic consumption
🌿Segregate and manage waste at source
🌿Waste less. Consume mindfully.

Tree based agriculture is something we are hearing more often nowadays - a boon for farmers and the Planet!
Poovendhar, farmer, Purisai village, Kancheepuram district, TN, shares his tree-based farming model that generates income, both short-term and long-term!
On his 2 acre farm, he has planted around 600 timber trees with proper spacing. To make efficient use of space between them, he has integrated about 150 guava, 150 papaya, banana, coconut and jackfruit trees!
His approach is simple - papaya provides regular income, guava provides seasonal income throughout the year, while timber trees serve as a long-term investment for future generations.
He credits his success to the tree based farming practices he learnt through Isha Cauvery Calling movement.
The on ground Cauvery Calling expert team has helped him understand how different trees and crops can be grown effectively depending on the soil quality of his land and climate, to support one another.
In his farm today every available space is productively utilized, creating a diverse and profitable ecosystem!
Every tree, plant on this farm is doing more than growing - it is supporting biodiversity, enriching the soil, securing income and investing in the future - a true World Environment Day lesson!
In a significant step for tree based agriculture, recently the Govt of Tamil Nadu implemented a reform, making it easier for farmers to grow and harvest valuable timber species, a recommendation long advocated by Cauvery Calling.

"You don't live on a planet.
You are a planet."
About 70% of the human body is water and the oxygen filling your lungs is produced largely by Earth's forests and oceans.
The calcium in your bones, the iron in your blood, and the minerals in every cell were forged through Earth's natural cycles.
You are not standing apart from nature.
"YOU ARE NATURE."
Yet every year, millions of hectares of land are degraded, biodiversity continues to decline, and climate change is increasing the frequency of extreme weather events around the world.
•When soil loses its life, food systems become weaker.
•When rivers are polluted, communities suffer.
•When forests disappear, the climate becomes less stable.
World Environment Day is not about saving a distant planet. It is about protecting the systems that make our own existence possible.
The Earth is not asking us to rescue it.
It is asking us to remember that our future and its future are the same.
🌍 Happy World Environment Day.

9. OUR TRUE CIVILIZATIONAL INHERITANCE 🇮🇳
A nation de-linked from its history cannot effectively create its future.
Our ancestors preserved our genealogy so we would always stand grounded in our roots.
🧵
Colonial historians claimed India had no real chronological records before 500 BCE, dismissing thousands of years of history as myth.
By fixing a massive 660 year calendar mix-up, here 👇 is the actual, scientifically verified timeline of our civilization.
8. THE UNBROKEN MASTER TIMELINE 🧬
By directly decoding original Sanskrit texts and combining them with cutting-edge modern science, India's true chronological order is restored into a single, definitive timeline spanning over 16,500 years of empirical truth.
In a city like Chennai that is constantly rushing forward, do you sometimes long for places that make you pause? 💛
I recently came to know about one such place.
Tucked away in the busy lanes of Saidapet, not far from the ancient Karaneeswarar Temple, is the Jeeva Samadhi of Sri GuruLinga Swamigal, a Siddhar whose presence is still felt by countless devotees.😇
Very little is known about GuruLinga Swamigal among the general public today. Yet devotees speak of him with immense reverence and regard him as a realized soul who continues to bless those who come seeking his grace.
Those who have visited often speak about the contrast.
Outside, the bustle of Saidapet. Inside, an atmosphere of stillness and silence.
We often travel far in search of sacred places. Sometimes, a Mahaan is waiting for us just around the corner.🙏
