On average, value of a vote in Southern States is nearly 1.33 times that of Hindi heartland States. Article 81 (2) of the Constitution lays down the principle of one-vote, one-value. Amend the article if there exists a better principle for allotting seats in Lok Sabha to States.

This is going to be a disaster.

Every single Politician would want a seat in the Parliament. Then,they will try to settle their children. Then they will try to settle their grandchildren.

More type 7 bungalows in Delhi. More Drama in the name of security, allowances,blaw blaw etc....

And trust me, there will be not even a single % positive impact on development in India. It will remain the same. The only thing that will increase is - Exponential increase in Corruption.

The worst ever decision. And why are the doing this ? Are they the policymakers in real sense? Is this what we are choosing at National Level ? Totally wastage of our hard earned money.

Favouritism, nepotism,will prevail. Be clear in thoughts before accepting this as a law on us. Don't be blind in the name of religion and all.

And which census they will take into the consideration? Because,some will benefit a lot,and some will be punished for their better population planning.

How the H1B shutdown is good for the USA and bad for India is beyond me. I think most people in India cannot analyze any policy at scale or in a long-term manner. My hypothesis that Indians are of two types is largely right. Either they have the vishwaguru syndrome or they have a major imposter syndrome.
