@GrainneOwen@beverleyturner Starmer has literally never called the British public far right. He's called the idiots who violently riot to express perceived grievances far right.
@LucyTCWife OK then, if Farage didn't incite the violence last night and didn't approve of it, why didn't he take the opportunity to condemn it when he spoke in parliament today?
@Lorraine_4321@LucyTCWife@where4artthow Farage told people to react to Henry's death with 'cold hard rage'. And Henry's father specifically said he didn't want his son's death to cause hatred and division. So yes, Farage should be blamed.
@gymslip@GBNEWS Maybe if you'd tried walking and cycling more when you were younger you wouldn't now be so feeble at 78, which isn't such a great age? Just a thought...
@PaulEmbery 'Muted reaction of the political establishment'? WTF are you talking about? All the leaders of the major political parties have spoken about it. Oh, and maybe you should take the advice of the victims' father, who specifically said he didn't want his son's death politicised.
@SurreyBlue1967@anon_opin Yes, it's so hard to watch your parents decline. Mum was gradual over a few years, first physically, then dementia near the end. Dad's decline was more rapid but maybe that was worse - from being able to drive and do shopping to needing a wheelchair to bedridden in a few months.
@TheRealGD2X@ThePosieParker I hope they don't. That would respect the wishes of the murder victim's family to not politicise his death. Which is what anyone with a shred of decency would want to do.
@FreeSunGazer@ThePosieParker 'Justice for Henry'? What are you talking about? His murderer has just been convicted and sentenced to 21 years in prison.
@LucyTCWife@Nigel_Farage@reformparty_uk Henry's dad literally said that he didn't want his son's death to be politicised. Farage did just that, explicitly disregarding the wishes of a murder victim's father. Farage is scum, and so are you.
@DavidHu05137188 Doing it by weight, ยฃ50 a year for a bike works out around ยฃ4 per kilo. So for an average car of about 1.5 tonnes, that would be about ยฃ6,000 a year. I wonder if he'd accept that?
@DavidHu05137188 'If you don't pay, you can't use the roads'.
So he thinks that pedestrians shouldn't be allowed to cross roads? Or walk along rural roads that often don't have pavements?
@SashaSwire Literally not simple. Millions of bikes in the UK and they change hands far more often than cars do. The admin alone would be an expensive nightmare. And you think the police have time to enforce every minor violation by cyclists? They don't have time to do that for motorists.
