Because if you can persuade people that Britain is permanently “out of control”, you never have to admit when the facts prove otherwise.
So the latest asylum figures are another awkward problem for Nigel and his mates. 📷
🏨Hotel use has halved in a year, with 16,000 people accommodated in June.
🏩 Fewer than 160 hotels are now being used, compared with nearly 400 under the Conservatives.
🚣‍♂️ Small boat crossings are down 23% year-on-year.
📉 The asylum decision backlog has fallen to around 40,000, which is down 56% in a year.
Is the system fixed? No.
Are there still problems? Of course.
But is it “out of control”?
The numbers simply don’t support that claim.
Reform need you to believe everything is getting worse because fear and anger are their political fuel.
When the facts show progress, look at the figures… not the outrage.
