Head rose to fame in England in the 1980s, then became internationally known with his leading role on "Buffy" in the late 1990s. He was best known for his deep baritone voice and was a frequent face on television, including a role on the British classic "Doctor Who." https://t.co/GPGyr25L1f
Michelle Trachtenberg, Nicholas Brendan, now Anthony Stewart Head. Hard to describe the grief of losing people who shaped your 20s - that you have never met. My heart is with all who are processing such deep losses. RIP, Dear Giles. Thank you for demonstrating what a true gentleman is.

James Marsters remembers his ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ co-star Anthony Head:
“There's a hole in the World. Anthony Head has passed on from us. He was an unflaggingly kind and steady presence on the set of Buffy, and the best actor in the cast. He was the best of us. I was lucky to have known, and learned from him. He left the world a better place for his presence. Thank you Tony for all you gave.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar pays tribute to her "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" co-star Anthony Head following his death:
"'Tell Giles I figured it out and I’m ok’ Well I don’t have it figured out and I’m not ok. But I know I’m the lucky one because I knew you. Thank you to Daisy and Emily who not only shared their dad with me, but with the world."

Charisma Carpenter remembered her ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ co-star Anthony Head and shared on Instagram:
“Tony brought life to a character who, for so many, was the father figure they needed but didn’t have at home. Fans far and wide are surely grieving, and for that, I am deeply sorry... Tony was an icon long before I met him on set, something I came to appreciate fully as a young actress new to the business after being cast as Cordelia. How fortunate I was to have worked with someone of his caliber and talent...”

I just learned that Anthony Stewart Head has passed away, and I am genuinely crying.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer isn’t just a show I loved. It’s my favourite show of all time. Through so many seasons of my life, Giles was there: wise, flawed, funny, compassionate, brave, and endlessly human.
Anthony Stewart Head gave us a mentor who wasn’t perfect, a father figure who loved fiercely, and a reminder that intelligence and kindness belong together.
It’s a strange thing to grieve someone you’ve never met, but stories matter. Characters matter. The people who bring them to life become woven into our lives in ways we don’t always realize until they’re gone.
Tonight I’m thinking about tweed jackets, polished glasses, British exasperation, and a Watcher who helped raise a generation of misfit kids from behind a television screen.
Thank you for the stories.
And thank you for Giles. ❤️📚🕯️💔
