@DancingViolet I think its way too early to say the show is "tanked". We have 3 regular episodes and a Christmas special upcoming. I haven't seen anything that indicates S/A are not the endgame. Let the story unfold. Its going to get better.

@SuzanneFlink I think A genuinely cares for both S/D and wants each to be happy. But I think we are going to see a gradual deepening of the connection between S and A this season. She may try to help S be successful but in the end the S/D romance will not work out because D is not A.

@SuzanneFlink I think we need to let the story unfold. Both S and A are "evolving" this season to where they need to be for a relationship. There is no indication that they are not the endgame. We all want this to happen quicker but perhaps the story needs to get things in place.

@jame_2206 I don't think this is anything negative-I think season 7 is setting up for season 8 and Audrey. Thats why their relationship "evolves" this season.

@dmfa1991 I hope evolve doesn't mean into a more platonic relationship. It sounds like A is advising him how to date. The trailer though shows she is clearly unhappy. I think the stuff about S/D having different tastes in things might be significant.

@Dashspantry Someone posted a behind the scenes photo of the crew holding a clapper (can't remember what episode but season 7) that had a rat drawing on it. So I think one episode will definitely feature the rats.

@GolfcartMozart @madame_forlorn That lookalike dress and the visual of S/D kissing with Audrey witnessing it in the CS6 was a mirror to the same scene in CS3 where S saw A kissing Gerald. This is a big hint that Dorothy is another Gerald-a character who is there as a catalyst to make something happen.

@DebbieBlackma14 @curly_erin I don't think there is a thing to worry about. There have been numerous hints that Dorothy is a "Gerald" arc to bring S/A together. Yes, S will be dating D onscreen but the endgame is Audrey. I think some are worrying too much. Let everything unfold...its a story in the making.

@DashnJess2297 @SuzanneFlink In the original series it was Caroline who came back. I agree they are doing an homage to that show in that an old "flame" returns. I don't expect Siegfried to marry Dorothy (and then keep her hidden away from Skeldale like Caroline in that old series). This series is Audrey.

@Darveyinbed I think that Sam is saying Siegfried needs to realize that he wants someone to be a partner for the last half of his life and not just to have in his life as a love interest. Audrey is the one that has that connection-not Dorothy.

@iadoremyships If the Dorothy arc follows the Gerald one then there will likely be a marriage proposal (or least a discussion) between S/D. But like that arc I sincerely hope it all falls apart. Unless the drawing of the rat is a clue that Siegfrieds rats decide to procreate.

@Darveyinbed This doesn't make sense for many reasons. I wonder if she is just trying to placate those who firmly believe that the S/A relationship is platonic. I'm sure those fans have also been vocal. She may be concerned that they will stop watching as the S/A relationship slowly evolves.

@Gu2991662335397 Its another character that was in the original books. That character had a lot of scenes with James Harriot. Not likely a love interest for Audrey.

@JulesMangoFilm If this is season 7 could that be grandchild Mary and not Rosie Harriet? The child is wearing a sweater a similar pattern as Tristan.
