☪️ FROM ORTHODOX PRIEST TO MUSLIM — A JOURNEY TO TAWHID

Vladimir Ugryumov, a former Russian Orthodox priest who reportedly served in the Church for 15 years, embraced Islam after a period of deep study and reflection. After accepting Islam, he adopted the name Said Muhammad.

According to accounts of his journey, his interest in Islam began after a Christian girl from his neighborhood converted to Islam. Curious about her decision, Ugryumov began studying the Qur’an and learning more about Islam.

He was particularly moved by the Qur’an’s teachings about Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) and Maryam (Mary, peace be upon her), as well as Islam’s central message of Tawhid — the absolute oneness of Allah.

He eventually left the priesthood and embraced Islam. Reports also describe his intention to travel to Makkah on foot to perform Hajj, reflecting the depth of his new faith journey.

Islam does not ask us to abandon Jesus — it calls us to worship the One whom Jesus himself worshipped.

“Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path.” — Qur’an 3:51

May Allah guide every sincere heart to the truth, strengthen those who accept Islam, and keep us firm upon Tawhid. Ameen. 🤲🏽☪️
