Favorite memory: Paying SUPER close attention to all the random talks in an unorganized AAG session Dr Getis attended only to find out that he came to hear my talk and provide support! Tremendous mentor always ready with thoughtful questions. He we will be truly missed.
CaGIS Recognizes the Passing of Lynn Usery
“It’s a challenge to specify the impact that Lynn has had on the field of GIScience because of the breadth and depth of his involvement and contributions. He was centrally involved in many areas of the discipline” https://t.co/d6xe4ugHWH
The results of a cute St Patrick’s Day cookie decorating kit dropped off by the team of @jenniferclukey - our lovely realtor that helped us find our home a few years ago ☘️💕Thanks!!
The atmospheric pressure pulse from the #TongaVolcanoEruption is likely an acoustic-gravity wave and incredibly just hit #Seattle again. The first pulse arrived from the West and the second must have arrived from the East - both at ~ 700 mph.
Fascinating to view today's pressure plots from around the world! Took 4.25 hrs for atmospheric wave to travel 3030 miles from Tonga Eruption to Hawaii. Computed speed approx 713 mph #TongaVolcano#pressure
