๐ง ๐ Mental health crises require the right response at the right time.
Thereโs a common misconception that calling for the Clinician-Led Community Response (CLCR) means law enforcement will automatically respond. Thatโs a myth.
CLCR is a non-law-enforcement response team composed of licensed clinicians and peer specialists trained in de-escalation and crisis intervention. For situations involving an immediate threat to life or the presence of weapons, IMPDโs Mobile Crisis Assistance Team (MCAT) may be dispatched instead.
When you call 911, trained dispatchers assess the situation and determine the most appropriate response. Community members may also request either team based on their needs.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available. Learn more at https://t.co/SEPyEbfW12.

You may hear or see 'GVRS' in relation to reducing crime in Indy - but what is it exactly?
GVRS, or the Gun Violence Reduction Strategy, is the City of Indianapolis' three-pronged approach to reducing gun violence, launched in 2021 by @IndyMayorJoe. This strategy includes an intervention piece such as @IndyPSFdn, the Elevation grant program and IMPDโs focused enforcement.
Find out more about the GVRS at https://t.co/eKecz5cKXq.
This June, OPHS recognizes the strength, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride Month is a time to honor the history of advocacy and progress while continuing to foster and celebrate a culture of inclusion, respect, and belonging for everyone.
Wishing everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Pride Month! โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐ #PrideMonth #HappyPrideMonth

See something? Hear something? Say something.
Speaking up can make a difference. If something doesnโt seem right, trust your instincts and tell a trusted adult, teacher, parent, coach, or law enforcement officer. You could be the reason someone else stays safe. ๐

๐ง ๐ What an incredible end to Mental Health Awareness Month โ standing room only for our Youth Mental Health Insight Forum!
A panel of six high schoolers from around Marion County shared their thoughts on how social media culture, peers and friendships, family dynamics, and more shape mental health and the stigmas that surround it. We are grateful for the opportunity to host these students, their friends, and their families for the evening. ๐โจ
May is coming to an end, but the work continues. OPHSโ Division of Behavioral Health remains committed to community mental wellness year-round. ๐
