@ChristianCompl4 i agree, but i also think practical and cg effects both have their implementations and benefits. other than cost cutting, there's no scenario where ai gives the best result, and any product that is willing to cut costs with ai would've cut costs elsewhere and made garbage anyway

Seeing glimpses of a full-blown replacement for ‘traditional’ character replacement VFX… Potentially even ‘modern’ workflows like wonder dynamics.
Many artists value the fine-grain control CGI gives you, but the speed of generative AI is hard to beat.
@EmmaDaEnbee nuance will never be achieved by AI, at least not soon. Marvel movies are made by artists and they flop all the time. the general public has less tolerance to incoherent garbage than people give them credit for.
