For the new academic year, students should be taught intelligence isn't something you are always born with. It's also EARNED when YOU:
•Read A LOT
•LOVE making mistakes
•See VALUE in all types of knowledge
•Work VERY, VERY hard
•Hang around other people who do the same
A6: I'm excited that so much light has been shed on all the different whys that move our current educational sys. The path isn't exactly clear but a destination is set and our students are the driving motivation. #lisdchat
A5: I have to echo what @FightingFarmer1 said. He's right on point. Critical thinking has a faint pulse in most, collaboration skills are always needed and creative problem solving skills are within reach how do we draw it out?
@LisdLearns Hi, M Infante here form Lilie J. Our little ones are learning how to retell stories. If only you could be a fly on the wall to see the amazing skills being acquired!
A3: Yes! YES! and AMEN! I like that LISD understands the need to change our district mindset. The fact that this book study is happening tonight is a great example of how our district is embracing this change! #lisdchat
Q4: With our ELL learners it's important that each student knows that they have voice and their opinions matters. Whole group answer shout give each chid an app to share their ideas. #lisdchat
Challenge: Learning how to learn and managing failure seem to go hand in hand perfectly! When reading about some of the most successful people in the world they failed much much more than they ever succeeded. #LISDCHAT
