@nosteppy420 Haha my biggest problem with the family trailer is really just scheduling conflicts. Sometimes the darn thing will sit for 6 months and no one uses it, other times we almost fight over it π
@Dontbelieve22 We're having a good time! Never did this as a kid, so it's new to me. Thank you! At the end of the day, my goal is just to raise high quality beef for ourselves and customers. If they can show well, that's just an added bonus.
@BradSchutte76 Yep, you're absolutely right. My son wasn't the one as interested as my daughter, but he has been a trooper and really taken lead to get things done. At 12 years old, he's got enough size to him to handle them well. She's a lot smaller!
@nosteppy420 Yes, could be a slippery slope lol. My biggest goal is a slightly nicer trailer for next year, as I still share this with some of my relatives haha.
@Crazychad6 That's pretty well how I'm looking at it. I seen on the show bill that there's only two in the crossbred steer category and only one in the heifer, so I guess that should help morale if they place first or second π
@the_birdfarmer We're just here to have fun this year. Got a good group of friends that we get to hang out with, they're helping guide us through all of it. We made it through the goat show this morning with no trouble at least!
@PlsntVlyFarmer Friends of mine have an 8400 sitting outside the barn with 12 row cultivators on it currently. Assuming for the green beans they have out, but not sure.
@cfarms76 That's insane! I'm glad I halfway know my way around a baler because it would be easy to send one to a dealer and end up in that situation. There was an Amish guy that advertised in the farm world that would come work on them. He came out for the day once and got me running.
