OK. It's happening, and I can finally talk openly about it (a thread).

I have decided to transfer from my #PhD into a #Masters degree. I'm currently writing my thesis - I'm due to submit in October.

And I want to talk about it, because we don't talk about this enough.

Today I graduated from my Master of Teaching (Secondary) Internship 👩‍🎓.
Though these last two years have been incredibly challenging, going back to Uni (for the upteenth time!) was the best decision I ever made ⭐️ ⬇️

In 2023 I am also stoked to be teaching VCE Chemistry! Though Bio is a huge part of my background I have realised Chem is my first love ❤️. Also super stoked to be teaching some maths, and Year 7s again in a fresh setting. 🧪⬇️

@ZJAyres 🙋‍♀️Me! Left in 2019, made the decision at about 1 year 9 months in and had the opportunity to 'Master out'. Very difficult but best decision I ever made! Explored careers in #scicomm and higher ed before entering a career-change teacher program. Am now a science teacher! 👩‍🏫👩‍🔬

@DrShaneRRR Quiet Chrissy (6 of us) + changing New Years plans last minute has saved us so far. Week of uni next week now online, then booster sat (exactly 4 months). I know as a Secondary Teacher I’ll likely get it soon after going back - sadly feels like I’m just delaying the inevitable.
