gaming has a terrible reputation of being unsocial, isolating, and unproductive
but what if we made it social, and applied it to education?
just added multiplayer functionality to my math RPG - Infinilearn - and it’s pretty freakin sick
public release by end of the month 🫶🏽
Forget IXL, Mr. D Math, Canvas, Google Classroom, etc.
Nobody wants to do math through boring online worksheets.
Throwing some AI on top won't help either.
We're adding new NPC's to Infinilearn.
you would not believe just how excited the kids got just by seeing this GIF lol
The future of math isn’t with kids answering problems in a boring, stale way.
Math will be done through interactive worlds, storytelling, and intentional action.
This is Infinilearn - a math RPG for homeschoolers.
Already gorgeous and has base functionality - created in under 2 weeks and coming soon to the App Store.
In my previous video I talked about purpose, and how education platforms fail to provide one.
I’m literally building a full RPG-style game around math to fix this.
Here’s a quick progress report on how that’s going:
I’m 17yo and I’m changing the way we learn math.
Purpose is very important:
- Relationships
- Jobs
- Sports
- etc
But there is essentially ZERO sense of purpose (shown) in k-12 education.
So I’m turning math into a game.
To give learning a sense of purpose.
It’s also pretty fun lol
Stay tuned for more.
I’m a 17yo turning math into a game, and in LESS than 24hrs I made my platform 5x better to use:
- fully animated player character (adding customization tmrw)
- sound effects
- onboarding screen + tutorial
- fixed 84+ bugs
- 6 user calls
Should I drop the TestFlight link?
Quick demo of what I’ve been working on - just wanted to show off the platform in its current state.
For those of you who don’t know, Infinilearn is a (lowkey fun) math game for 6-12th grade.
It’s been a bumpy ride, but I finally have a clear path, direction, and many students excited.
Although I don’t want to spend too much time on a video before a public release, I’ll share more progress in the coming days.
Thank you all for your support 🫶🏽 let’s make math legitimately fun
