to realize you were raised for meat must be heartbreaking. the hands that held you, doted on you, now lining a blade to your throat, hands far too steady to be doing this for the first time. to owe your flesh in exchange for love and care.
Lowering their gaze they'd gently tace their fingers over the palm of his hand. Brows drawn together.
"I just don't know how to make them quite down.."
"I..I'm sorry Arthur. You shouldn't have to deal with me like this."
They huffed and slowly turned onto their back to look up at him, taking hold of his hand to hold it tightly.
"Okay," he said softly, hating there wasn't more he could do. Still, that didn't keep him from running his cold fingers across their forehead and just sitting with them while they waited for the voices to quiet down.
Lowering their hand from his forehead they'd stare at the wall across the room.
"I..don't really know..maybe they'll eventually quiet down, it's just hard to focus on anything."
Arthur's brows furrowed in a frown, his gaze drawn to the hand rubbing at their forehead. He wished he could take it away- the noise, the chaos, the pain.
"What can I do?" He asked softly, continuing the slow movement of running his fingers through their hair.
"If I wasn't as powerful as I am..I'd probably be a lot less cocky about it."
He snorted raising a hand to rub at the side of his head and let out a quiet sigh.
"I appreciate that..thank you."
" wouldn't be a true witch if ya weren't . . . but hey, at least you have the right, and the guts to back yourself up with some insane fucking power . . . "
smirking, the scientist would move beside him and gently pressed his palm to the centre of his shoulder blades.

Relaxing a bit he'd let out a little sigh, seeing their smile had a small one of his own coming across his face.
A hand raised to rest on their shoulder. The other raised to gently brush his fingers over the fawn's head.
oh . . . man . . Sylvan . .
they smiled.
it was so . . . subtle, but it was there. undoubtedly so. and better yet . . an amused and airy laugh fell from their lungs as slowly, slowly they'd look up at him as they locked up and cradled the fawn in their arms.
" . . . Vincent. "
They don’t need to say it, Arthur can tell. It’s written all over their face.
Silently, he tugs on their hands to bring the both of them to the couch and sit down.
Lowering their hesd they'd press little kisses along his neck, gently nipping at the skin. Their fingers slipping under the waistband of his pants.
"Didn't think you could be so..cute."
A pleasant shiver ran down Arthur’s spine as he felt where their hand had gone, his stomach tightening in anticipation of what he hoped was to come.
“Yeah, I really do,” he breathed.
