@QAGreenways @RStraatsma Damrak in my town of births had only 1 lane for cars each way since 1940s. It also had car parking on both sides. Always a pedestrian packed area (locals & tourist) on the wide sidewalks. Once they eliminated the car parking, it became AT friendlier. Now it is even more so

@bccycle A 1000 signatures is not going to move the government into action. BC has 25% of the bike business in Canada hauling in a healthy 40% in profit margin since 2013. Raking in mega $$$ the last year and a half; maybe it is time they get involved in making cycling safer in BC.

@carolineholden Unfortunately nothing has changed in 50 years in sponsorship for women. Although in some sports there seemed to be some equality such as in tennis, but in bike racing women on a sponsored team pay for their accommodation, their travel to training camps, some equipment etc Sad eh!
