The ACHPR adopted Resolution 584 (2024) on informal economy workers’ rights in Africa. 8 out of 10 workers in Africa are informally employed, it calls on states to enact laws protecting women’s work under Article 15 of the African Charter and Article 13 of the Maputo Protocol.
