Candidate for PM of Canada. May also instruct math, science, computer apps, social studies as needed. Academic but not rt now. So much to learn, so little time.
Please BC, take it from someone who fled Alberta to get away from governance by conspiracy theory loonies beholden to oil money. BC has had the strongest economy in Canada for years under the NDP, let’s not mess that up.
Steven MacKinnon is on fire today about Pierre Poilievre and his waste of $8.8 million in expenses, he said Pierre squatted a summer in Stornoway on taxpayers dollars while he spent 2.3 million dollars to get his sorry ass back in the HOC 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This cartoon isn't an exaggeration—not even 1% an exaggeration.
Weeks ago it seemed this far-right Supreme Court would still block any map intentionally authored to be racist.
We just learned that that's no longer true.
We have reentered Jim Crow, and it's a national disgrace.
The average "at poverty level" yearly income in #Alberta is $30k-$35k/yr @ABDanielleSmith@neudorf_ab are now expecting disabled Albertans to survive on approximately $18,480/yr which is almost half of what it is to be living in poverty. WTaF are we doing here?! #AISH#ABpoli

Smith’s Justice Minister, Mickey Amery, wrote that change
He’s lifelong friends with Sam Mraiche…related by marriage…who was under Elections Alberta investigation at the time
The SAME law now hampers the data-breach probe
This law is a shield for criminals.
Teachers organizations from across Canada release joint statment condemning use of the Notwithstanding Clause to override teachers' rights, with the CTF launching a petition calling on the feds to annul or repeal any future action on teachers involving the NWC.

Rep. Madeleine Dean: "What is true is that the president has lied about being on Epstein's plane, and the unredacted files prove that. There's a lot in here. It's all covered up."
Scott Pelley issues new statement after being fired by CBS for opposing their pro-MAGA bias:
“New management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them.
Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done.
Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.”
@GlobalCalgary@BSwirlsi@CADevaney@Blake_Lough Millions of Albertans are not ‘mulling’ anything. Millions say absolutely no. No mulling required. There are not ‘millions’ thinking about or planning to vote in favour of separation. The media’s false equivalency on this—as though the two sides are even close—is dangerous.
These truths Premiere Smith was forced to admit probably felt like multiple root canals to her but every Albertan should listen closely to this. She could also be quietly hinting that Alberta joining the U.S. would avoid these costs if they chose to leave.
The science on wealth taxes is settled.
People opposing it are either protecting their own wealth or letting ideology override evidence.
Here is what the research actually says. 🧵👇

Premier Smith & the UCP say 700,000 Albertans want a referendum - they are straight up lying.

“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…”
Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share.
This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”
🚨 BREAKING: Albertans are set to take to the streets THIS FRIDAY in what could be the largest organized protest in the province's history.
From every corner of Alberta, people are taking to the streets to protest everything from the cost of living and healthcare cuts to AI data centres and the promotion of separation.
This isn't a protest for one issue. It's everything at once, because it's all connected.
@gilmcgowan@sock82 That’s rich; the MP for Nosehill-Oklahoma pretends to speak for Albertans?
I was born in and lived in Alberta for 54 years, and the perpetual cries of victimhood from (relatively) rich & (supposedly) strong Albertans has been tiresome since high school. Narcissism writ large.
