Glad to share that the Ministry of Home Affairs has accepted our recommendations for “ad-hoc promotions” for eligible officers under the Group 'B' Gazetted Administrative Service in Ladakh, as an interim measure.

While the MHA is in the process of devising a regular promotion mechanism, this decision will significantly help address the officers’ shortage in Ladakh.

My sincere thanks to Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji for his constant support to strengthen the administrative framework in Ladakh that is significantly improving governance and public service delivery in the UT.

I have directed the Chief Secretary to start the promotion process immediately. The UT Administration remains committed to empowering its employees and optimizing administrative efficiency in Ladakh.

Completely ignored the Seniority list of Combined Services where two officials at Sr. 6 and 7 much below of many are given BDO Charge. We were expecting some standardized rule for adjusting. This is biased, unfair by Adm and GAD Ladakh. @ashishkundra
