shit.Just watched this 3-minute clip from Stonnie Dennis and I’m still sitting here like… damn.Jon Bernthal calls fear of pit bulls “dog racism.” Cool story. Then an actual S-tier dog trainer (40+ years, not an activist, not a TikTok softie) casually trains a 5.5-month-old square-headed pit mix while dropping the most clear-eyed truth I’ve ever heard on the topic:“Yes, it is the breed. It might not be the specific registry bloodline… but it’s the type. And we all know the type. You know it when you see it.”He doesn’t hate the dogs. He likes them. He has buddies who keep them and never have problems… because those guys never forget what kind of dog they’re dealing with. They manage them like the high-risk animals they are.But the average person? Most of us don’t train that hard. Don’t manage that hard. And a lot of us straight-up lack the physical strength to stop one when it decides it’s go-time. He brings up the gut-punch example of a mom standing right there watching her own dog kill her baby because she simply could not control it.Then the line that should be carved in stone:It’s not fair to externalize that type of risk onto your neighbors. That’s it. That’s the whole debate in one sentence. You’re not just choosing a dog for you. You’re forcing every kid, every mailman, every other dog on the block to live with the statistical reality of what these dogs were bred to do.Pros can have them. Dedicated, strong, hyper-vigilant owners can have them. The rest of us? We’re playing Russian roulette with other people’s lives and calling it “love.”This isn’t hate. This is the most honest, respectful, zero-cope take I’ve ever seen from someone who actually works with these dogs every day.Stonnie just ended the conversation in three minutes flat. Watch it. Sit with it. And stop pretending this is about “racism.”

This is one of the most famous paintings in America, and most people have no idea what they are actually looking at...
The painting is Christina's World, made by Andrew Wyeth in 1948, and the woman was real: her name was Anna Christina Olson, Wyeth's neighbour in Cushing, Maine. Since childhood a degenerative condition had slowly taken the strength from her legs, until walking was no longer possible. She refused a wheelchair, and for her entire adult life she chose to drag herself across the ground with her arms instead, going wherever she wanted to go under her own power.
Wyeth saw her one afternoon from an upstairs window, alone in that vast field, crawling slowly toward the house on the hill. He said the painting was an attempt to do justice to her extraordinary conquest of a life which most people would consider hopeless. Her world, he said, was limited physically but by no means spiritually.
That is what turns this painting from a portrait of frailty into one of the most triumphant images ever made...
Look at it long enough and it stops being about what her body took from her, and becomes about what she would not stop doing anyway. The field is enormous and she is small and the house is far away, and still she goes, because the alternative, to be carried, to give up, to let the distance win, was something she simply would not accept.
There is one more thing: Christina loved this painting. Pink was her favorite color, and Wyeth had placed her exactly where she most wanted to be, out in the open, in her own field, under her own sky. Late in her life, when she could no longer even crawl out to that field, she said something that holds the whole meaning of art inside it:
"Andy put me where he knew I wanted to be. Now that I can’t be there anymore, all I do is think of that picture, and I’m there."

Continuing our journey, we explore the evolution of color during the Middle Ages.
Emotional Resonance: The Science and Philosophy of Color and Vibration.
Part 2: Color Symbolism and Alchemy in the Middle Ages
The Middle Ages offer a fascinating chapter in understanding how color theory and vibrational frequencies evolved, marked by religious symbolism, artistic innovation, and scientific inquiry.
Color Symbolism in the Middle Ages:
Colors in the Middle Ages held significant religious and symbolic meanings. Blue, often depicted in representations of the Virgin Mary, symbolized purity and heavenly grace. Red, representing the blood of Christ and the martyrs, evoked themes of sacrifice and passion. Green symbolized life and renewal, associated with fertility and nature. Yellow, while sometimes representing divine light, could also signify envy and betrayal.
Alchemy and the Symbolism of Color:
Alchemy played a crucial role in medieval understanding of color. Alchemists believed that colors held mystical properties and could transform materials and the human spirit.
Nigredo (Black): Symbolized decomposition and purification.
Albedo (White): Represented purification and enlightenment.
Citrinitas (Yellow): Symbolized awakening and the dawn.
Rubedo (Red): Represented perfection and the philosopher's stone.
Alchemists used these colors to guide their experiments, believing that transforming base metals into gold mirrored spiritual purification.
Asian Perspectives:
In Asia, color symbolism was deeply embedded in cultural practices and philosophies. In China, colors were integral to the Five Elements theory: wood (green), fire (red), earth (yellow), metal (white), and water (black). These colors conveyed emotional and spiritual states, guiding architecture and medicine. Red symbolized prosperity and joy, used in celebrations, while white was associated with mourning.
In Japan, influenced by Shinto and Buddhist traditions, white symbolized purity, used in ceremonies and festivals. Red warded off evil spirits, commonly seen in shrines and temples.
African Symbolism:
In Africa, colors conveyed messages, denoted status, and represented spiritual beliefs. For example, in many African cultures, black symbolized maturity, wisdom, and the elders' connection to the ancestors. It was not associated with mourning as in Western traditions but rather with spiritual potency and the cycle of life and death.
In the kingdoms of West Africa, among the Ashanti and Yoruba, vibrant colors and patterns in textiles communicated social status, political power, and cultural identity. Kente cloth, with its intricate patterns and bright colors, was worn during significant ceremonies and was a symbol of royalty and high status.

In this series we demystify the intricate connections between color philosophy, vibrational frequencies, and human emotion, tracing their journey from ancient civilizations to modern applications in therapy and technology.
Ancient Philosophies and Symbolism
Egyptian and Greek Origins
In ancient Egypt, colors were deeply symbolic and tied to the divine. Green represented fertility and rebirth, while black signified death and the afterlife. These associations permeated their art and rituals, illustrating the integral role of color in their culture.
The Greek philosopher Aristotle believed colors were derived from the interaction of light and darkness. He recognized four primary colors: white, black, red, and yellow, each carrying specific philosophical and natural significance.
Eastern Philosophies
In India and China, the philosophical and medicinal applications of color were profound. The Indian chakra system connected specific colors to various energy centers in the body, influencing physical and emotional health. Chinese medicine utilized colors within the Five Elements theory, correlating them to different organs and emotional states, thereby maintaining the body's energy balance.
