@eddiedeanNYC3@JamesRowley1977@darwin_friend1 The current Government have done about as well as possible given the inheritance: think business stability; improved trade deals with US, India, France, Germany; improved minimum wage; pay settlements with most striking unions; infrastructure investment; good NHS settlement etc.
Trump’s outrageous plan to scrap a crucial ocean system for monitoring climate change will also make weather forecasting less accurate and lessen our ability to provide warnings of dangerous storms, say scientists. Stupid, or what?

I’m not sure what the bigger disgrace is, the Vice President of the United States’ ignorant, anti-British bigotry or the journalists of my generation quite happy to encourage him.
Unfortunately, the Russian side once again chooses war – everyone heard the response today. Weak response. He simply does not want to end the war.
I think many around the world were disappointed by that response. He does not want to change anything, and he does not want to admit that this war appeals only to him – and to those who are making money off him. They were all smiling very broadly today.
That means Russia must have less money, and there must be more pressure on Russia.
I thank everyone who is helping us. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and wants a real peace.
@SwedishRumble Again, I agree with quite a bit of your analysis though you're exaggerating a little re Casemiro (who we paid plenty for) but I still don't get the invective towards Andy. Lammens is another excellent recent signing. There's an art to that and no interview at all if you overdo it
It was terrible Mr Vice President what happened. And lessons will be learned. But here’s a thought - maybe concentrate instead on why 44000 Americans died last year from gun related deaths, and what can be done about your dreadful disease before you start lecturing others
@SwedishRumble I agree with quite a bit you say but not sure why you're attacking Andy for asking the questions? There's no way he'd just support the Glazers on the back of one interview. He's been very clear in his opinions on that.
Starmer, Macron and Merz will meet Zelensky in London on Sunday evening. It always seems to come as a surprise in 🇬🇧 but Starmer is considered by 🇫🇷 to be a solid and efficient partner, on Ukraine and European security, and a crucial part of Europe’s E3 leadership format
HORROR in Kherson 😡! A civilian (35y old woman)was killed and over 20 others were wounded following a russian terrorist attack on the city 😡! A gas station, apartment buildings, cars, a shop, buses, a school were damaged or completely destroyed 😡! @IntlCrimCourt
One of these has had a private meeting with the family of a murder victim.
The other has whipped up hatred as a diversion to receiving £millions from crypto billionaires.
@Nigel_Farage@reformparty_uk@Keir_Starmer
Just spoke to a business event in the Midlands. Show of hands on whether Starmer should stay or go — 80-20 stay. Has been similar at several recent events. Really interesting to see such a chasm between political/media bubble view, and out and about. Main reasons given “stability …. May not like some of the decisions but we are used to them now … fear of similar chaos as under the Tories … feeling that any PM with a decent majority has “the right and the duty” to serve a full term … May not be the most charismatic but “can the others really do much better in the circs?” … sense that media make everything seem worse than it is … worry that “country first, party second” exposed as hollow.
The constant banging on about DEI is an infuriating American import into the UK.
In the UK we call it EDI. And EDI training is essentially summed up like this:
‘Don’t be a knob to other people, and realise some people face barriers you don’t.’
It’s not some woke conspiracy.
Breaking: Keir Starmer accuses JD Vance of interfering in British democracy and attempting to stir up unrest on British streets
This is the strongest condemnation yet by Starmer of the Trump administration
Number 10 says:
“In recent days we have seen people trying to interfere in our democracy and seeking to stir up division on our streets.
“The Nowak family are grieving after Henry’s horrific murder. They have said they do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension. We should be respecting their wishes.
“Our politics should bring people together even in the most terrible of circumstances. That is who we are as a country.”
