@OnlyTheBestSake@Weak3n I think you need to take a break from the internet today. Someday you *might* find people that you care about and even the slightest hint of a threat can and should be taken seriously.
@Tommy_Haas71@SMITEGame That is literally what a beta is. We're testing this game as they build it. Your brain has been rotted by all the early access games on steam that say "beta" on them. I cant think of a single recent Moba that has had similar patch cycles to Smite 2.
@Tommy_Haas71@SMITEGame Its on beta, its got biweekly patches adding new content. What happens if they polish now? No new content? Think before you type and you'll be ahead of 90% of the idiots on the internet.
@Scyllabytes Why do you care? If youre not a pedophile its just like "oh hey, youre wrong" and then move on? I've been called terrible things for beating people in games, I understand that those people are fragile and lash out because they lack social skills. I don't post to my 100 followers
@BIackEyeSMITE Have you ever considered replying to him and saying that or was it more important to you to look like you're on the right side to your followers? Genuine question.
I think we need to clear something up.
There is NO comp scene in SMITE 2. We haven't had one since the end of S10 Worlds. And likely won't have one until the 1.0 release.
Bobby, Myself, Nika/Hayzer had some tournaments we ran on our own, Hirez helped support some community ran tournaments last year because they were mildly successful.
Then @SPJithins created @SMITEPrime and Hirez saw value in it, so they funded it last year into this year. 100% the right choice.
I understand the comp players are frustrated, I believe a comp scene is VITAL to the future of SMITE 2's success.
But we HAVE to find better ways to go about feedback discussions. This hasn't been a healthy discussion whatsoever. And if there is anything you can give Hirez credit for, it's listening when we have concerns.
We have people leaving the company because I imagine the Dev schedule they've been trying to maintain for 18 months is insane, genuinely impossible. So when they get attacked over a decision to add a few joust tournaments into the summer, i wouldn't expect a cordial interaction. I think it could have been handled better, sure, but I also recognize how we got here.
We all want SMITE 2 to succeed, let's stop attack each other over something as harmless as a a few joust tournaments when in the same 16 weeks, 13 weeks have been conquest. It's not going to hurt anyone, same players will still compete, conquest fans won't dissapear.
