The only unknown variable in today’s #Albania elections is whether the Socialist Party will get over 50% or less than 50% of the vote. The opposition never stood a chance to compete with the incumbent PM, Edi Rama, who has already served 3 terms, and is about to win his 4th.

Albania’s citizens are casting their votes today to choose the next Parliament, the parliament which will have to adopt the reforms required for #Albania 🇦🇱 to join the #EU 🇪🇺.

These elections hold particular importance as Albania has started EU accession negotiations. Upholding democratic standards is key for making progress towards the EU.
