Prescriber Attitudes Towards Prescribing 'Green' Inhalers in Secondary Care https://t.co/xqTKEYJtxJ
Well done to @AzRehman and the whole team for completing this work! Interesting insights into sustainable prescribing in secondary care!
🫁 We are proud to be offering a pilot project with remote monitoring for patients with COPD over winter to support early treatment of exacerbations and prevent attendance to ED and Primary care. Criteria? Tower Hamlets patients with 2 COPD admissions or more in the past year. 🌟
Are you an adult with asthma or COPD? Or do you use inhalers? @UoB_DAHS is studying how to make inhalers more sustainable by looking at aspects of the inhaler design.

Great session on asthma guidelines.. take home message.. more FeNO needs to be available in primary care for accurate diagnosis in adults and children #btswinter2024
Discordant COPD (FEV1/FVC <0.7, >LLN) is a clinically relevant phenomenon that represents an early COPD state, rather than being overdiagnosis of COPD, as demonstrated by CT analysis, serum biomarker levels, activity monitoring and quality of life scores. https://t.co/c44m96ldaZ
Very pleased to see The Global State of COPD report released today: @POLITICOEurope

Delighted to share our ERS Statement on the Management of Benign Pleural Effusions 👇
Typically an understudied group, sat at the crossroads of multiple different specialities and much variation in practice.
Hope helpful!

@kashakhtar@RoyalLondonOrth Its great that you show so much pride in your trainees, more TPDs need to follow your lead and make trainees feel valued, rather than a faceless number filling a rota slot.
@oli_m_sims If a trust attempts to pay you less than your contract stipulates then it's a breach of employment contract and that trust will find itself in a lot of trouble at an employment tribunal for unauthorised deduction in wages.
You know there is something wrong with the NHS when their go to option is to force highly qualified people to work for them much like a prison sentence rather than ask why they are choosing not to stay and try fixing working conditions..

A low point today. Our team referred someone for Spirometry (we are not commissioned) and a Consultant has accused us of referring inappropriately and denying deserving patients appointments.
The ICB says that they shouldn't decline, the LMC are not interested. Patients lose.
