βMelissa. People call me The Shade.β
The woman answered, staring at the other impassively.
βI would ask how you knew I was here, but I assume you heard my heart.β
Whether Sam wants to speak to her or not is irrelevant. Though she doesnβt have much to say at this point.
She will let him go this time. Melissa did hear the sounds of chatter nearby and she realises that witnesses could pose a problem.
Melissa is aware of his strength. Though, he may find it difficult to punch literal shadow, so she isnβt exactly scared.
Especially since her amygdala doesnβt produce those signals of fear correctly. So basically, she takes risks with no thought of self preservation.
Melissa wasnβt about to let her prey escape that easy.
Shadows swirl, blocking Samβs path as he attempted to walk away.
βYou know, itβs pretty rude to walk away in the middle of a conversation.β
Her mouth curled into a sinister grin.
βIβm not done with you yet.β
βYeah? Is that not a mental illness?β
βAnd no, Iβve killed enough today. Pain is enough for me right now.β
Melissa replied simply, looking the other up and down.
