📍Brussels -- Albania and Montenegro are now widely and unequivocally recognised as the #frontrunners of the EU accession process from the Western Balkans. Yesterday’s “Super Tuesday” and the progress achieved in our negotiations once again confirmed this reality.

But that is only part of the story.

On the very same day, the European Commission provided another important recognition, this time on the second and complementary key track of European path: the implementation of the EU Growth Plan for the #WesternBalkans.

Speaking before the European Parliament, Director-General for Enlargement, @GertJanEU highlighted #Albania as one of the region’s top performers, with an expected implementation rate of around 80% as of June 2026, alongside #Montenegro.

This is not simply a statistic. It reflects the determination of our Government and institutions, the commitment of our public administration, and the sustained pace of reforms undertaken across the country.

More importantly, it confirms a broader reality: progress towards the European Union is only measured by delivery. By implementation. By results.

As Albania enters the most decisive phase of its accession process, we remain fully committed to maintaining this momentum, implementing the reforms agreed under the @GrowthPlan, and ensuring that the benefits of European accession path are increasingly felt by our citizens.

Our #European future, and the Albania we all want, is taking shape through concrete achievements, sustained effort, and hard work.

Today is a Super Tuesday for EU enlargement.

For the first time in over 2 decades, we are holding four accession conferences on the same day.

Our four front runners Ukraine, Moldova, Albania and Montenegro are all taking major steps forward.

With Ukraine and Moldova, we are opening Cluster 6, covering areas like defence and security where the case for their EU membership is especially strong.

Albania will close its first chapters. And Montenegro is firmly in the endgame of formal negotiations having closed 18 of 33 chapters.

Today’s momentum must now be turned into delivery on the ground.

Pas afër katër muajsh në detyrë, kohë gjatë të cilës kam takuar dhe biseduar me të gjithë homologët e mi në vendet anëtare të Bashkimit Evropian, në rajon dhe në mbarë hapësirën evropiane; pasi kam zhvilluar qindra takime me zyrtarë, diplomatë, gazetarë, ekspertë dhe studiues që ndjekin e analizojnë zhvillimet gjeopolitike; dhe pasi kam marrë pjesë në dhjetëra ministeriale, konferenca, forume, takime e aktivitete ndërkombëtare, një përfundim del qartë:

👉 Kurrë më parë në historinë e saj, Shqipëria nuk ka pasur një emër më të mirë në botë dhe një zë më të fortë në arenën ndërkombëtare.

👉 Asnjëherë më parë, Shqipëria nuk ka gëzuar marrëdhënie të tilla miqësie e bashkëpunimi, të besueshme dhe të konsoliduara me partnerët dhe aleatët e saj, si në planin dypalësh, ashtu edhe në atë shumëpalësh.

👉 Në asnjë moment të historisë sonë, Shqipëria nuk ka qenë më e respektuar, më e vlerësuar, më e dëshiruar dhe më e vizituar se sa është sot, me derën të hapur kudo dhe e mirëpritur gjithkund.

👉 Në çdo kryeqytet ku kam qenë gjatë kësaj kohe, kam ndjerë të njëjtën frymë dhe kam përjetuar të njëjtën gjë: Shqipëria dëgjohet me më shumë vëmendje, trajtohet me më shumë respekt dhe, mbi të gjitha, shihet si një partner serioz, i besueshëm dhe me kontribut konkret e me potencial për të ofruar më shumë, edhe për Evropën edhe për rajonin.

👉 Jo më pak domethënës dhe kuptimplotë është edhe ndryshimi i perceptimit.

Sot, emri #Shqipëri lidhet gjithnjë e më shumë me lirinë, suksesin, zhvillimin, turizmin, mikpritjen, energjinë pozitive dhe një shoqëri dinamike në transformim të pandalshëm, pasqyrimi i një realiteti tërësisht të transformuar: i një Shqipërie më të hapur, më konkurruese dhe më të pranishme se kurrë më parë në hartën politike, ekonomike dhe turistike të Evropës.

👉 Dhe, mbi të gjitha, Shqipëria është në prag të realizimit të ëndrrës që bashkon shqiptarët kudo ku jetojnë, në çdo cep të vendit dhe në çdo anë të globit: anëtarësimit në Bashkimin Evropian dhe rikthimit të plotë në përkatësinë tonë historike, politike dhe qytetëruese evropiane.

Ky nuk është thjesht një moment historik.

Është një mundësi që vjen një herë në breza. Një dritare unike për të përmbushur aspiratën më të madhe kombëtare dhe për ta rikthyer Shqipërinë aty ku ka qenë gjithmonë vendi i saj i natyrshëm.

Por një mundësi e tillë nuk realizohet vetvetiu.

Ajo kërkon edhe më shumë përkushtim, edhe më shumë përgjegjësi, edhe më shumë punë, energji dhe vendosmëri.

Mbi të gjitha, kërkon kontributin e secilit prej nesh, përtej dallimeve politike, bindjeve apo vendit ku jetojmë.

Sepse anëtarësimi në Bashkimin Evropian është projekti ynë kombëtar.

Dhe pikërisht si i tillë, ai kërkon bashkimin e energjive tona më të mira, në mënyrë që këtë moment historik ta shndërrojmë në arritjen më të madhe të Shqipërisë demokratike dhe në një trashëgimi të qëndrueshme për brezat që do të vijnë.

Vetëm një dekikë mjafton për të hedhur vështrimin pas dhe për të kuptuar se ku ishim dhe ku gjendemi sot;
nga kemi ardhur dhe ku po shkojmë;
çfarë trashëguam dhe çfarë duam të ndërtojmë.

Our discussion focused on the renewed momentum behind EU #enlargement and the place of the Western Balkans in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving geopolitical environment. I was pleased to share #Albania’s perspective on the opportunities and responsibilities that come with this new phase of the enlargement process, as well as the significant progress our country has made on its path towards #EU membership.

In today’s strategic context, enlargement is no longer viewed solely as a policy of transformation. It has become a strategic investment in Europe’s security, stability, competitiveness, and long-term resilience. The lessons of recent years have made it clear that a stronger, more united, and geopolitically capable Europe cannot be fully achieved without the integration of the #WesternBalkans into the EU.

I emphasized that Albania’s EU accession process, now entering its most decisive and consequential phase, is far more than a foreign policy objective. It is a national aspiration that enjoys broad and enduring support across the political spectrum and throughout Albanian society.

Driven by an ambitious reform agenda and a strong commitment to delivering tangible results, our European journey reflects not only institutional transformation but also a clear national and societal choice about the future we want to build. I also underlined that a credible, merit-based enlargement process is in the interest of both candidate countries and the EU itself.

#Albania remains fully focused on and committed to maintaining the current momentum, accelerating reforms, and advancing decisively through the negotiation process. Our objective is ambitious but realistic: to conclude accession negotiations by 2027 and achieve full membership by 2030.

Një mundësi e shkëlqyer për një bisedë permbjatësore në aktivitetin e @ECFR mbi “Zgjerimin e BE-së dhe Ballkanin Perëndimor”, organizuar nga Vessela Tcherneva dhe Ambasada e Shqipërisë në Bullgari. 🇦🇱🇧🇬

Diskutimi u përqendrua tek rëndësia që ka marrë procesi i #zgjerimit të BE-së dhe te vendi që zë Ballkani Perëndimor në një mjedis gjeopolitik gjithnjë e më kompleks dhe në ndryshim të shpejtë. Pata kënaqësinë të ndaj perspektivën e #Shqipërisë mbi mundësitë dhe përgjegjësitë që sjell kjo fazë e re e procesit të zgjerimit, si edhe mbi progresin domethënës që vendi ynë ka arritur në rrugën drejt anëtarësimit në #BE.

Në kontekstin e sotëm strategjik, zgjerimi nuk shihet më vetëm si një politikë transformimi. Ai është shndërruar në një investim strategjik për sigurinë, stabilitetin, konkurrueshmërinë dhe qëndrueshmërinë afatgjatë të BE-së. Zhvillimet e viteve të fundit e kanë bërë të qartë se një Evropë më e fortë, më e bashkuar dhe më e aftë për t’u përballur me sfidat gjeopolitike nuk mund të realizohet plotësisht pa integrimin e #BallkanitPerëndimor në Bashkimin Europian.

Theksova se procesi i anëtarësimit të Shqipërisë në BE, i cili po hyn në fazën e tij më vendimtare dhe më përcaktuese, është shumë më tepër sesa një objektiv i politikës së jashtme. Ai është një aspiratë kombëtare që gëzon mbështetje të gjerë dhe të qëndrueshme në të gjithë spektrin politik dhe në mbarë shoqërinë shqiptare.

I udhëhequr nga një axhendë ambicioze reformash dhe nga një angazhim i palëkundur për të prodhuar rezultate konkrete, rrugëtimi ynë europian pasqyron jo vetëm transformimin e institucioneve, por edhe një zgjedhje të qartë kombëtare dhe shoqërore për të ardhmen që duam të ndërtojmë. Po ashtu, nënvizova se një proces zgjerimi i besueshëm dhe i bazuar në meritë është në interes si të vendeve kandidate, ashtu edhe të vetë Bashkimit Evropian.

#Shqipëria mbetet plotësisht e angazhuar për të ruajtur rritmin aktual, për të përshpejtuar reformat dhe për të avancuar me vendosmëri në procesin e negociatave. Objektivi ynë është ambicioz, por realist: përmbyllja e negociatave të anëtarësimit deri në vitin 2027 dhe anëtarësimi i plotë në Bashkimin Evropianropian deri në vitin 2030.

In Sofia, I had a very friendly meeting with Bulgaria’s PM, Rumen Radev, during which we discussed the further strengthening of relations and cooperation between our two countries.

I expressed my appreciation for Bulgaria’s continued support for Albania’s European path. During the meeting, the reforms undertaken by our country were positively assessed, and Bulgaria reaffirmed its full support for Albania’s membership in the EU.

The friendship and partnership between our countries remain a strong foundation for deepening cooperation and promoting the prosperity of our citizens.

We reaffirmed the strong partnership between #Albania and #Bulgaria and our shared commitment to further expanding cooperation in key areas such as the economy, energy, tourism, and connectivity. In this context, we underscored the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation, including through parliamentary friendship groups, as a valuable instrument for strengthening bilateral ties.

We also discussed Albania’s EU integration path, the importance of continued support from EU Member States, and the strategic significance of the #European future of the #WesternBalkans for the stability, security, and prosperity of both the region and the European Union.

Finally, we highlighted the important role of the minorities in our respective countries in fostering people-to-people connections and further strengthening the cultural, historical, and human ties that bring our nations closer together.

📍Sofie, Bullgari - Takimi Ministror i Procesit të Bashkëpunimit të Evropës Juglindore, Ministri Hoxha: Rruga e anëtarësimit të Shqipërisë në BE ka hyrë në fazën më përcaktuese.

Ministri për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme, Ferit Hoxha mori pjesë në Takimin Ministror të Procesit të Bashkëpunimit të Evropës Juglindore, #SEECP, çka shënon njëkohësisht edhe 30-vjetorin e këtij procesi.

Ministri theksoi se bashkëpunimi ekonomik dhe integrimi rajonal duhet të mbeten në qendër të përpjekjeve tona të përbashkëta.

"Procesi i Berlinit, Plani i Rritjes, Tregu i Përbashkët Rajonal dhe nismat më të gjera të ndërlidhjes, përfshirë Korridorin VIII dhe projekte të tjera strategjike, vazhdojnë të ofrojnë mundësi konkrete për thellimin e integrimit ekonomik, rritjen e konkurrueshmërisë dhe përmirësimin e jetës së qytetarëve tanë", tha Hoxha.
