Giving the summerhouse a good clean today, where I overwinter the Aloes...which are doing damn fine. Some turning into beasts that weigh a tonne to move.
@jmadge33 Cordylines self seed around here, echiums and nerines fight amongst the normal brambles on the cliffs...as long as it doesn't carpet out all others like hotten tot fig then I do mind a bit of invasion
@StalwartPlants I think their seedheads are even more beautiful. I too have noticed this has escaped and thriving amongst the usual weedy collection of bramble etc on an unmade road.
Luckily here, most winters, the Echiums make it through and seed on unmade roads where the council don't spray. Currently, literally humming with bees.
@TheFlowerShow Forgive me, but I've seen too many AI generated and colour enhanced plant images. I would love to see more photos to see exactly how realistic this image is. Also, in bright sunlight and at the end of the day to see if the colour holds/changes.
