✍🏼 The best Brazilian player of the past 20 years, Neymar, gave every young Brazilian talent the blueprint for succeeding in Europe, yet very few have followed in his footsteps.
Neymar, who was far more talented than any of these players, stayed in Brazil until he was 21 to make sure he was ready before leaving. Despite being chased by European giants from the age of 16, he prioritized consistent minutes & developing at Santos because he knew it would benefit his career in the long run.
Fast forward to today, & we constantly see young Brazilians leaving for Europe at 18, only to barely play & ultimately stall their development.
Endrick: 2 years at Real Madrid - 997 minutes
Pedro Lima: 3 years at Wolves - 604 minutes
Vitor Roque: 6 months at Barcelona - 353 minutes
Marcos Leonardo: 1 year at Benfica - 484 minutes
Gabriel Veron: 1 year at Porto - 532 minutes
Souza: 7 months at Tottenham - 144 minutes
Gabigol: 2 years in Europe - 227 minutes
Pedro: 5 months at Fiorentina - 63 minutes
The list goes on…
So I ask: is it really better to leave for Europe at 18 & barely play, getting meaningless minutes here & there, or to stay in Brazil a little longer, play every week, develop your game, & leave when you’re actually ready?
A big part of the blame also falls on greedy agents who are more interested in shipping players to Europe for a quick payday than making the best decision for the player’s development.
Neymar had the talent to leave at 18, but he also had the patience to leave at 21. There’s a lesson in that.
I think it because I got used to watching cgi animation shows (Mad Steel ,Slugterra,Ninjago,Clone wars,Tmnt 2012,,Transformers Prime, GlTAS,Rebels,Battle Force 5,Kung Fu panda, httyd) but always thought it appeal was just animation evolution from 2d to 3d honestly
GLTAS Hal Jordan was much better comic adaptation than Wally West( and no the comic tie in of him meeting Barry Allen when he was a kid doesn't count ) and is better member of the Justice league than all of the “founding“ members of the show other than maybe Batman
Green Lantern TAS was pretty CGI and that’s about it. John Stewart carried Justice League harder than Hal ever did in that show, Emerald Twilight still hits harder than anything they put on screen, and Johns’ Rebirth / Sinestro Corps / Blackest Night run makes the cartoon look like a kids’ after-school special.
Hal works better when he’s arrogant enough to snap, not when he’s the nice flyboy they sanded down for Cartoon Network.
We would have gotten thing like
Sinestro Corps, Hawkworld, Green Arrow/Green Lantern, Adam Strange,Hal Silver age Villains,Alan Scott,Kyle Rayner,John Stewart, Hank Hershaw/Mongul and prob even the justice league
In alternative world CN executives saw this as Replacement to the Clone wars and eventually made Season 2-3 anyways even with failure of toy sales/Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern
Hal Jordan vs Sinestro would have been Peak
Without the cope, Morata/Bakayoko/Kepa something about their game just scream misprofiled and that they didn't fit honestly
Emenalo/Marina really replace costa/Matic/courtois and overpaid for these three duds
