I started with game dev in 2021...
at first I was rebuilding a NES game I loved: #CaptainTsubasa II, just to understand how #Godot worked
then I kept adding my own ideas, and somehow it became its own thing
after working on it on and off for years, I’m finally going all in!
I thought balancing 20+ teams for a football RPG would be hard but yeah turns out I was wrong... it’s kinda impossible
so if you don’t like the balance, think of it as authentic #NES era jankiness and please respect my commitment to retro accuracy
i rewrote my #CaptainTsubasa inspired game from scratch countless times since 2021. it is shocknig to compare and see how little code you actually need once the rules are 100% clear and set in stone
all the overengineering was basically just the process of figuring them out
one thing about making an unapologetically NES style retro game is that I get to be obtuse as f
no tutorials or o hand-holding. you’ll have to figure stuff out yourself.
but maybe I’ll include an actual manual like it’s 1989
Capcom's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a 2000 Sega Dreamcast fighting game based on the 1998 arcade game, sends Jotaro Kujo toward Egypt to defeat Dio and save his mother, with 16 characters, Stand guardian spirits that aid you in battle and a Super Story Mode with mini-games.
Mold, my vector graphics library for Godot and Unity just hit full release!
Designed allow you to create beautiful looking shapes right within the engine, no need for image editor or modeling tools. (This gif was created using only Mold)

today i found out also there’s already a modern take on the old Tecmo games... a bit of a weird one though
for anyone who can’t wait to play my homage, here’s an interesting one to check out: Fantasista Asuka

i've basically spent the whole year isolated from everything just work and putting whatever free time i had into my own game
now i'm slowly coming out of that hole and realizing.. how the hell am i supposed to play this, Ace Combat, Onimusha, Zelda, GTA, and get back to Shinobi?
