People on here take cartoons way too seriously, to the point of being kind of aggressive freaks about it instead of just accepting they don't like a cartoon and moving on.
I don’t think BK is perfect (the last couple of worlds have aggravating problems) but there’s more to games than whether or not it appeals to adhd kids. I’ve replayed both Mario 64 and BK1 about as often as the other.
Exploring the world and taking in the aesthetic, characters, and tone. Gratification from completing tasks and obtaining collectibles. Sense of discovery from unlocking new areas and uncovering secrets in the hub world. The movement affects the pacing and how you approach it all.
Genuinely asking what's the point of a collectathon platformer that doesn't have cool movement options, I don't understand what's there to like about Banjo gameplay
Another small mockup with the tileset I've been working on! The graphics for the first area were starting to show their age so I've remade them from scratch. Also, the tileset finally matches the ruins theme of the battle background used in this zone! #pixelart#gamedev

Dev comments: "Who would have thought that you could make a cactus-themed design from the original template!? Having its form change based on what it absorbs is a fun idea for a boss battle."
Happy Valentine's Day! I haven't shown many canon couples from the game yet (I'll leave the shipping to the players) so here's a picture of Weaver and Lauper being SUPER good friends that I've drawn at the very last moment! 💘 #ValentinesDay
