Homosexuality will never be extinguished. I posted this image to honor all my gay brothers and sisters who live in places such as Iran (Persia) who fight to live one more day.
This artwork is titled “Bleu Mystique,” by
Iranian artist Alireza Shojaian (b.1988)
Medium: The piece is created using acrylic paint and colored pencils on wood
In Iran, Officials say ‘homosexuality’ doesn’t exist.
It’s a culture that extinguishes the love homosexuals share. They have two choices: death or transition.
I have three friends who escaped and made it to the U.S. Their families chased them, vowing to finish the job.
Shojaian’s work frequently explores themes of gay (homosexual) safety, intimacy, vulnerability, and strength to exist in a world that tries to extinguish our existence. Still, we survive and thrive against all odds.
