I thank my brother and friend, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, @TamimBinHamad for his visit to Rwanda and for the productive discussions we held. Rwanda deeply appreciates the strong partnership with the State of Qatar and the personal friendship that continues to guide our cooperation.
We look forward to building on the progress made during this visit and advancing the shared priorities for the mutual benefit of our nations and people.
I think, H.E @KagutaMuseveni responded wisely to H.E. #Ndayishimiye’s long speech—apparently written by @kayikwambaT. H.E. Museveni attempted to lecture H.E #Ndayishimiye on the root causes of the conflict in eastern #DRC, including Burundi’s own history. He seemed to be advising both #Ndayishimiye and @FelixUdps not to rely on foreign powers and mercenary manipulation, but rather to listen to their own people and close neighbours.
I used to think the media was exaggerating about Traore, but after hearing this speech, I have to admit I was wrong. Africa has gained another remarkable leader after Paul Kagame.
This man’s shaping a bold vision for Africa.
“Kazakhstan has made remarkable strides in national development, matched by a growing and constructive role on the world stage. This speaks to your leadership, Mr President, and to the determination of the Kazakh people. We are happy to be partners and friends. In Rwanda, we know that such progress is built over time through good governance, and working with the right partners. That is why we are here“ President Kagame | Bilateral meeting with President Tokayev and their delegation.
“Throughout our campaign here, it was always humbling to hear the slogan “Ni wowe”, meaning “It’s you”. But actually, in reality, it is not me alone, ni mwebwe, ni twese — it’s all of us.
Our focus now returns to the future. For the last thirty years, our country has been a good work-in-progress. This new mandate means the beginning of even more hard work.
Why not do even better than we have done? That expectation to keep improving is not a dream, it is realistic. We can do it, and we will do it.
Above all, we will be together, and I thank you once again for renewing the privilege to serve our country.” President Kagame | #Inauguration2024 #Kurahira2024
