There’s always a lot of dialogue around Caenis considering their gender. It’s a real shame people make it a political issue, for it blinds them to the actual writing. With context, I will be analyzing Caenis’ gender from a character perspective solely in this thread.
@HOHOz_FGO I mean I’m sure that’s part of the reason.
Also because the new lady is really pretty and that’s basically what most of the player base cares about.
But yeah.
@ColonelHrgh Well it’s possible that much of the fgo community doesn’t actually see female characters as characters. Instead, they are pretty things to claim or win over for harem.
But I’m also sure some just find her cute and wanna say that, which is fine.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Anyway, Morgan’s demise was led to by her flaw. But it was not triggered. If Morgan had truly thrown away her love then she would’ve blocked woodwose’s attack, ignore sith again, and annihilate the rebels in a single attack. The trigger was the sliver of love inside her.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Boudica, in doing so, allows Nero to accept herself. Since if one of her enemies could, then so could she. But prior to that Boudica had insulted Nero. Nero gets constantly insulted by other servants for her actions, which reaffirms her suicidal nature
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Correct. Obsession. A single character flaw. And it in the end she overcame it. She could’ve not cared for Sith, and she would’ve been fine. But she DID. Consequence isn’t character, edgelord. Nero’s consequence is being suicidal.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Oberon can tell the truth as vortigern. And Aurora agrees with it. Melusine is not greedy, because she is not Fafnir. She is called it, but she’s just pure innocence. It’s even in her NP.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat No. Thematically it is not the same thing. Melusine never asked Percy to try and kill her, in fact SHE HELD BACK because of him. It was simply his self perceived duty as her brother to save her
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Paxti trying to survive, yes. That is the evil of the Yaga. In trying to survive they cannibalized and murdered, that is the exact reason why Paxti begged Ritsuka to save their word. It was a better one. Being dead doesn’t forgive you.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat They do. Gawain called her out in extra. Septem manga has her tackling it with Boudica. Morgan getting everything she cared for destroyed was because of her love for Sith, but that isn’t a character flaw. That’s her strength, to throw away her obsession for love.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Gawain perceived her as a rotten beast even as Nero, and Nero had no response for it. The whole story is Chaldea trying to eliminate her and her getting close to accepting it.
@fromavalon45656@RayproofPaladin@arriwthreat Wrong. You misread Mélusine’s character. She doesn’t gaf about herself turning into a calamity, she killed the mirror clan because she loves Aurora. That’s the whole point of her killing Aurora in the end. It was all innocent love.
