Today a federal court released a dying man from prison.

The AUSA filed a joint motion seeking the man’s release and now he can rest peacefully at home with his family. Here’s to a 2022 filled with reasonable AUSA’s, thoughtful judges, and #decarceration.

I went to a new inmate in our unit just released from medical to check on him. He was scared from experiencing rape. He said, "I screamed until I couldn't, then I just stared into space" I told him, "You're safe, everything will be alright," not knowing if either would be true.
