Today makes it four years that I almost died due to a storm like this one.

June 11, 2022.
The day I came closest to having my mortal coil shuffled off outside combat actions.
I'm terrible at remembering dates, but this is one I recall with remarkable clarity.

I remember watching the storm build up. Since it wasn't my first rodeo, I assumed it would pass like the others before it, leaving behind some damage to structures and little else.

Then, in an instant, everything changed.
Before I knew it, a massive tree had crashed onto my tent, and the force of the storm hurled both the wreckage and myself several meters away. When it was over, I was bleeding from my head, face, and shin, and had badly injured my toe.

It’s fascinating to watch in movies but it has a dark side to it and you don’t pray to get caught in the dark part. This thing contributes to the percentage of blind people we have around.
